My Accord is getting close to that 200,000 mark and still runs like a champ for what she's been through... but I doubt it would ever make it to 655,000 ... let alone 300,000, lol.... But its not uncommon for Accords to get some high mileage and still run strong from what I've seen...

That's why I love honda's. Can't believe his dad's commute though....342 miles?!!! Guessing his wife really really despises south georgia and refuses to move down there? who knows.

I bought my 1st gen integra with 200k miles and swapped engines at 285k...broke the speedo cable during the swap so didn't have an odometer...i drove it for another year like that :)

I have a friend that bought an '86 CRX with 10k miles on it in '87 when he was 18...he had some head work and shaved it at about 250k but basically only changed the oil, fuel filters, and wipers up until 2001 when I went with him to sell it...it had over 400k on it and the interior looked cleaner than most 2003+ models today. That's who i learned how to clean a car from....kinda anal retentive but it's not faster than most, just cleaner :)

I have a customer that is nearing the 400K mark on his Accord and it stills runs like new.

Yall need a daily beater with a stock car.... how does that make sense? :lmao: Certain cars hold value...thats why alot of them get stolen.... :jerkit: either that or the people in the act of stealing just want the good parts. My celica... show car.... I drove the crap out of it going everywhere. I can understand having a "daily beater" with a show car... or a track car.... but not something thats pretty much stock... :goodjob:

BTW, thats freaking crazy. Honda's and toyota's run for forever... thats just incredible though!

BTW, again at some of the replies to this. :lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:

I just turned over 70k on mine....2001! That means i now have 30k miles on the new ITR engine, blah!

Money talks. And getting things done talks...not just talking about it. I had plans for my car....and the joker is listed for sale. :goodjob:

You may have plans for it whatever... but that just cracked me up so bad. The fact of the matter was...they were talking about low milage on an effin stock car... with wanting a damn daily beater.... (NO SWAPS... WHATEVER mentioned) :goodjob:

If that was supposed to be a cut down.... I remember you telling
me you liked my car alot. :) I could be wrong...but thats what
YOU told me. :goodjob: Apparently, you lie?

Everyone on IA, voices their opinions... so obviously everyone's "voice" stinks and whatever else...(forgot the saying!) :jerkit:

/thread for me. ;) (being nice here)

:lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:not everyone has a second car to drive when you're working on the other one...say for instance i get backed into or bottom out my front end pushing the bumper resulting in pushing the fender and possibly breaking a wheel or whatever it will cost me what this car cost to fix it. $150-200+ for a wheel/tire, $150 for a fender, $75-100 for paint on the fender. $100+ for a bumper, $100 for paint on the bumper, etc...then add up my cost on my splitter then the time it takes me to fabricate it.

My cost on an oil change is $35 (pher only uses Mobil1 too)...Changing every 3k miles adds up quick (not too mention how much was burned between changes). It uses premium fuel only, 0.20 cents more per gallon and less gas mileage than the beater...50-75 miles per day average.

The list goes on and on...yeah his car isn't for show, may never be but no use in speeding up the aging process of a car if you don't have to. :2cents:

Remarkable, i guess "honda giving you a new car if your current exceeds 500k" was an urban legend.

In the early 90s, American Honda did a mileage challenge to all owners. The deal was who ever had the most miles, verified, w/o a rebuild, would trade thier car in on a brand new accord at no charge. The winner had an 86 accord h/b w/ 700,000 miles. What Honda did, was put it in thier research facility, and ran it to see if it could reach 1,000,000 miles w/o a rebuild. In the end they did, but it took several years. Of course they didnt publish it, because they simulated optimum circumstances. No cold starts, no hills, or loads. In the end the engines are as good as they say....even if I always got crap ones.

208,xxx on my AE86, with no major problems. Considering it sees drift events almost monthly, I'd say it's holding up fairly well.

Here's to 300k!
