Picking up a Mustang off one of my friends tomorrow night. He's buying a really clean all-stock GN this weekend, so he has to make room for it. So I'm buying his really clean, low-mileage 93 Fox-body.
That does not mean that I'm selling my other toys though. I will still have my RX7, my R1, and my Impala.

It's not quite stock, but close.
And none of my toys stay stock for long.

I've been on the dark side .. I have a rotary!

Actually, this is not my first Mustang, but the last time I had one was in the 80's....

I've been driving the Mustang all week. It definately needs suspension and tires. Can't get ANY grip - it just spins. Too much power for the stock suspension. That will be remedied shortly.

I have all Mac exhaust also. Haven't installed the headers yet.
I know what I put down on the dyno, but can't get traction on the street.

soooo LX hatch? or GT? What size tires do you have in the rear right now? You shouldn't be busting loose TOO bad with a basically stock 5.0...

LX hatch

Stock wheels and tires currently (small and crappy)

hp is not stock - 1st and 2nd only spin, breaks loose in the top of third. Only useable gear is 4th. 3.73 in rear

haha is that what the retards at mustangs unlimited told you? You might do 250-260 hp at the wheels with those mods and thats being generous.

I ordered my tires yesterday. Wheels are already here. Next up: driveshaft, loop, and rear suspension.
I know a T5 upgrade will be coming soon also. Figure that it will probably snap sometime in the next couple of months, once I get the car on the track. :(
What are you guys running? G-Force T5, T56, etc? What changes did you have to make/extra parts to buy? Approx cost?

I'm running a Tremec 3550 in my turbo notchback. Its pretty rugged and a few have run high 9 second passes with them. I'd say its good to 600 rwhp or so...the weak link is the output/input shafts. They are the same size as the T5 but the internals are beefier. The TKO uses a chevy 26 spline input and bigger output shaft. If you are going to buy a new transmission i would recommend a TKO. They have the TKO-500 and 600 now but i have heard they are kind of notchy compared to a regular TKO.

If you have the extra money the T56 is a nice swap but its pretty damn heavy and isn't that much stronger then a TKO unless you get the viper spec T56 which is 4,000 bucks. If you aren't making more then 500 rwhp and don't plan to make more i'd try to pick up a 3550 and bellhousing. Mine has had no issues handling 500 rwhp.

haha yea, i was thinking the same thing. 305whp is a lot for those mods.

Congrats on the purchase.

You probably see the Stang most mornings. I've been driving it daily. Just listen for the squeaky fan belt....
