yeah, I pretty much laugh at it.....one of my buddies gave me one of his older books from his chemistry class last semester and the jackass professor decided to change texts this semester and since it's brand new....there are 0 used anywhere and it runs $240.

yeah i hate that, thats happened to me before too, and then after you buy that $300 book, you make sure to take really good care of it so you can resell it, but then they decide to change texts again, and now your stuck with a book that you never want to crack open again.

yeah, but selling books sucks even worse.

half.com helps a little, but you still can never come out ahead.

Im at about $180 so far from 2 books, i plan on getting them tomorrow used, but thats roughly how much the total will be. Last semester my total was right around $450. It sucks :(.

I bought all 6 of my books used from my school for $500. I tried to look on amazon and some other places, but they never have the right edition. If they do, I don't think I would get them until the end of next week, and I know i'll have to be reading and doing some homework by then

My totals ususally end up around $500 or so. The textbook prices are too damn high, half.com helps and Amazon (as someone said earlier).

The best way to sell the books is to put up flyers on campus, or just sit around the campus bookstore and wait for someone to walk by and tell them that you have the book their looking for.

I would KILL to only have $832.00 worth of school shit. Welcome to the world of Art school... once you're done paying for books, you get supply lists, which is another $600. Tack that onto the $20k a year you're paying for school... dammit I'm gonna be in debt till I die. :(
