I've been wondering...I know how amazing the RX-8/Shinka handles - but I've been wondering how it would stack up (stock) against some of the cars out here in the importatlanta forums... The RX-8 is definitely not a drag car... but it claims somewhere in the neighborhood of 238 peak HP, and a 0-60 somewhere around 5.9s...

Now - being new to the speed world... how realistic is that? I've been dying to push it and see how close to those limits I can get it...

Feel free to share some thoughts/experiences with the RX-8's if you have it - I don't need to hear any rants about how your cars are better and crap like that... just some facts/experiences...

my car is better!!! lol but i am no nothing about rx-8s. but charles also has an rx-8 he can bring out(auto). we will get it out n maybe we can run the shinka against the regular one.

My Shinka is a 6-speed manual, not sure it would be much of a race against an automatic, no? Autos always shift smoother and faster, or so I've been repeatedly told by someone who I would assume knows better than I... I would love to run it against another car - better yet - I would love to learn more about how to run the car "right"... as I'm sure I know very little about the true power of the car and how to really drive it "hard".

Anyway - I'm always up for a drag, when and where? it'll be fun and an experience!

The auto looses more power through the drivetrain, and you can shift the manual just as fast as the RX-8 auto does. I've driven quite a few RX-8s and I like them.

Now since this is a kills forum, and you want to run someone, sometime, PM me and we'll get together to run. I don't have an RX-8, but you can see how it will stack up against a stock RX7.
