For Sale: Mint Rolling Chasis 99 Milano Red EM1
Location: Marietta, GA
Price: ~8,000
Miles: 72,xxx

EDIT:
I'm coming to GA during spring break (mid-March)
New lower price, more room to deal.
New item, skunk2 p28.

I don't post here much, in fact I live in Chicago, IL. I posted this car here once a while back. I live and go to school in Chicago, my parents live in Marietta where the car currently sits. I deicded to post here again since it's been a while, nothing has changed for over a year. If you want to trade, you will have to hitch it. Only those very serious is welcome to come by and take a look.

This car has been babied for all her life; garaged all the time.
I am the 2nd owner, I own the the perfect title to this car as well.
I've known the original owner and the car before I purchased it, so I can guarantee it's been in good care otherwise even I wouldn't have bought it.

The car as is stands as a rolling chasis.
It was a b18c hybrid till the 3rd rod (p72) blew a hole in front of the motor.
I have been slowly getting parts for her to come alive once again but I live 750miles away from the car (going school in Chicago, car is located in GA with my family) and progress is slow plus now I am thinking more of my studies rather than my hobby; I don't have much time and I live in an apartment now so it's impractical for me to kinker with it especially now that I plan on turboing her. Believe it or not, the motor blew as I was driving to GA, which explains why the car is there, and not with me. The main reason would have to be me not being able to get her running, since when I do go to GA to visit the family, it's not easy for me to purchase a motor 750miles away (I've been scammed... twice) and get it running when I live in a different state. If you want to trade, that's fine, but since I won't be there to see the actual car, you better do one hell of a job showing me your car is in a shape where the deal is final and fair for the both of us. If I don't sell it's ok, I'll just have to wait another year till I'm out of school and then have time to bring my baby back to life.. but till then... here goes:

I'm sorry, it's just too hard to do that.
In fact, I did part something at one point when I first tried selling the car a year ago.
The guy's name was flysi00 I think.
In any case, He was interested in my car, went to take a look then took my Tial 35mm wastegate and never paid me.

No offense, it's hard to trust someone 750miles away. And then there's more hardships such as picking up other parts, reinstalling ect..ect...

so 8500 for a shell?

Louie_EM1
01-07-2006, 10:51 AM
The price is defintely not bad at all.
I've had a few people thinking it's too high.
A b16 long block costs 1,000-1,500.
So if I were to sell the car with that for 10k OBO no one would say anything.
KBB is 8,500-9,700 depending on condition.
I think the mods alone should atleast cover a b16.

This is a project car for a nice motor to those that are serious.

Louie_EM1
01-07-2006, 10:54 AM
Also I want to say, I don't know anyone else who would drive a car 1,500 miles to avoid Chicago winter every year. It's well taken care of.

Sadly, no.
I went to GA last year during dummer break to visit the folks for a few days.
I bought a b16a2 from a guy in VA while in Chicago, it was supposed to be shipped to my parents.
When I got to my parent's house, there was no motor, and the seller was long gone.

The civic just sits there, and it upsets me that I'm having a hard time getting it back to Chicago... Now I'm just looking for a reputable buyer in the area.

Thanks for the bump sleepin, and this is the story he is referring to:

I wasn't saying it was high.
And I didn't mean to imply it was you.
Just a general consensus, since someone did offer me 2,000 for it...

I've been getting a lot of PMs about part-outs. I'm not an unreasonable person. But if no one ever purchases this car, that's fine, one day the time will come for me to be able to get it running, and I would not want to change a thing.
It's just hard when people want to trade items that I've never seen first hand.

Heh, living in Chicago, I don't check these forums as much as I do.
Sorry for the late reply, but if you're still serious let me know via PM, AIM or Email.

I am not looking for a financially long term payment method. Just like to do this quick and easy.
Still open for respectful trades.

Thanks.

Pending with 2 potential buyers, yay, but honestly not really interested in a flat cash deal.
Just looking for something to drive when I'm visiting the folks.
B16a SIRII's long blocks are honestly 900 with an ecu.

Serious buyers are always welcome to take a peak (during hours that my parents are home).
Thanks.

Maybe I'll give that dude a call tomorrow; I hate talking to people on the phone I just met online.. kinda weird eh?
Thanks for the comments integra8705, only if it were in Chicago.. sigh.

I also edited the post for a few reasons:
1) I'm coming to GA during Spring Break near 20th of March.
2) I have a Skunk2 chipped p28 ecu along with the sale
3) The price has been dropped for no apparent reason other than to stir more interest - I havn't driven for about 18 months so heh, kinda anxious for a trade.

There has to be shops near-by that sells motors.
Maybe that's why this car isn't selling... Does GA suck that bad? Glad I'm only there 2 weeks a year.

There is a place off cobb pkwy that imports and stocks jdm motors. I think it is called best japanese engines.

DurtySpeed
02-10-2006, 12:45 AM
i am pretty sure it is this place. Japanese Engines of Atl.
http://yellowpages.superpages.com/listings.jsp?SRC=comwp&sid=12213&STYPE=S&PG=L&R=N&C=&N=best+japanese+engines&T=&S=GA&search=Find+It

Actually, I have been in there before when I was shopping for a jdmb20. They have them lined up in a warehouse. They have just about any imported japanese motor you could want. For hondas, supra, rx7s, toyotas, nissans. I mean everything. There prices are usually about 150-200 over the prices on like hmotorsonline and such, but it is worth it because you save a couple hundred still on shipping and you at least get to inspect the engine. They are pretty neg. too.

DurtySpeed
02-10-2006, 12:51 AM
Also, jarco. They import and stock a few engines, clips, and rare jdm accessories.
http://www.jarcoinc.com/
They are located off of exit 14 on 575. Holly Springs I believe.

Great info, I appreciate it, thank you.

About a year ago when I was in GA, I called around to find some shops that sold motors. There was one that was right next to my dad's store.
They sell motors, not sure if they do actual work.
I think if I hear the shop's name I'll remember it.

A korean guy works there, or did last year.
It's on/in Peachtree if that helps (I know there are quite a few peachtrees in GA)
They are off Exit 22 I believe from 285 if that helps?
I also remember them offering free shipping upon purchasing their motor.

Any ideas as to who they might be? I am wondering cause I remember them having some decent prices.

Paul S - I gave you a call ealier today.
Sorry, but my phone loses signal in my apartment all the time.
The car will not come with a motor, just read the first post and you will see.
If I could get a stock motor, then I wouldn't be selling it, but again, there are complications to that such as I don't live in GA. Read the thread and let me know.

Hey Vteckidd, always good hearing from you.
Maybe this time we could actaully meet up (given I have a car)
You noticed some of my turbo parts missing.
Well the bov and pipes and FMIC was traded for a motor from a kid in VA who I never heard from again, another scam..
The Tial 38mm wastegate was stolen from me from flysi on IA.... he literally came to my house interested in my car, took the wastegate telling me he would purchase the car.. and never heard from again...

Don't know why I always get the shaft.. it's how the world rotates sometimes.

I talked with Silversol and Skinny and we are trying to set up a fair trade, hopefully it works out.

Vteckidd
02-13-2006, 06:43 PM
if you need any help man, let me know. I hate to hear you got the shaft AGAIN, let me know and we can see if we can work something out. Prob buy an OBD1 motor and switch the oil pump so you can pass emissions, get it back on the road.

if you trade, Skinny is a good guy, known him for awhile
