Good cams, (skunk2 pro1,2 or Rocket Motorsports M22x with RM valvetrain), good header (RMF, SMSP, Hytech, Rage,), intake manifold (AEBS, S2) OBD1 tuned with crome/uberdata or Hondata. For a short answer that should just about do it. If you have the shortblock sitting I would definately say have the cylinders honed and bottom end balanced, put on some AEBS or ARP rod bolts as some extra insurance since you're going to be turning higher RPM's.

Thanks for the input! You didnt say anything about pistons? So should I just stay with the stock GSR ones?

B16 pistons are cheap, thats the one to get IMO

put you at 11.5:1 compression

i wouldnt spend the $ for the RMF, you can get 200hp without it.....IMO

while this is a true statment, it is VERY RARE . you really need a good header (rmf, smsp, hytech/rage, anr, etc) to have a chance on making over 200whp on a dynojet.

the rmf is a great header, and for a 1.8l, i have NEVER seen any other header beat it.

but brent, the cheapest header you should look at is the JDM DC 4-1, nopi carries it.

piston wise, i owuld go with Pr3 b16 pistons, cheap and good bump in compression.

i would get Pro1s if you have the money, but if not, itr cams will do.

a gsr block/b16 pistons/good header/itr cams/aebs manifold=180whp no problems.

ls - get a golden eagle vtec conversion kit, comes with everything you need

if you are looking into a mild build, i would do what mike suggested, get some b16 pistons, or some CTR's.

as far as head goes, b16 or a GSR head, but if your going to re do the valve train and port n polish, then IMO dosnt really matter.

rocket motorsports has a really good deal going (or did a while back) for thier valve train package. im sure mike can get you some good quotes from them

and of course a good header FTW....plus the RMF gets all teh bitchez and hoez
