I just wanted to make this thread to tell everyone how awesome Tracy is (and Dan for being understanding. :D ) Thanks to her my CRX is finally out of my X-wife's garage and home with me. It took many hours of bullshit, spinning coilovers up and scraping sideskirts to make it happen in the cold, windy night, but she was absolutely awesome the whole time and never bitched once. This was after asking her if she could trailer it for me only 2 days earlier. Words can not express the gratitude I have toward her and Batlground for helping me in my time of need. Yeah, I could have just called a wreaker, but in what shape would my car have arrived? The odds wouldn't have been in my favor, and after owning it for almost 10 years I was not willing to take that chance.

I think everyone should send some rep points toward her just for being so awesome. I knew there was a reason why I always say she is my hero. :D

I think I might bring the 510 out tonight....depending on the weather. I think the wiper motor in it is the same one that came stock in 73. :lmfao:

The CRX needs:

1) Me to finish fixing the wiring that was butchered by other people.
2) A new battery (I jacked it and put it in the Rodeo lol).
3) ALL the fluids changed, and probably about 5 gallons of 100 octane.
4) Insurance back on it.
5) **coughEMISSIONScough**
6) A tag that didn't expire April 2003.

1) Got sponsored for a bunch of shit, got a bunch of shit, showed car, won trophies.

4) Marrage turned on "bitch" switch, was forced to take insurance off this car and my 510.
5) Both sat.....and sat....and sat....so I decided to mess with the wiring in CRX.
6) Wife decided she hated me, as evidenced by me having surgery and her response: "what about your part of the morgage?"
7) Left, couldn't drive CRX and 510 because no insurance or tags, and CRX wiring wasn't done.
8) Tracy comes to my rescue and offers to help me get car back from devils garage.
9) 510 gets insurance back and now has current tag.
10) Tracy helps me get CRX back to me.

And all is right with the world. The car was actually featured on here a while ago, but the new site doesn't have a link to it anymore. :(

No shop is perfect and can please everyone unfourtunatly.. but I've heard very little bad about BG...

Chris what happened to me was I need someone to drill and tap my manifold to turbo bolts (I didn't have the tools) so I took the car there. They took 4 hours to do the work!! Come on now, 4 hours to drill and tap 4 bolts?! After I left they told me that the gasket had fallen apart and that I should replace it....ok easy enough, take the bolts out slide the gasket in put the bolts back in. Well I managed to get a couple bolts out and they were smooth (I mean no more threads). Basicaly they just tapped it wrong, okay so now I missed being able to partcipate in the import showdown (this happened the day before). So I took some bolts with me to the import showdown and talked to Tracy. She cut me off mid sentence accusing me of causing the problem (there were quitea few people around who saw her attitude). So I ended talking with Dan who at first was willing to fix his mistake (and admit it) which was cool with me....I held no bad feelings toward them yet. So I brought in the turbo and manifold off the car. But then Dan makes another mistake and broke the water line on the turbo. Okay well he admits fault again and trys to do a temp weld job and tells me he'll order a new part....ok, irritated but still no hard feelings. The temp. weld job Dan did didn't hold up and it was leaking coolant (obvioulsy not healthy for the turbo). So I couldn't drive the car (btw this is my only car). 3 weeks go by and they had ordered the wrong part 2 different times. Another week goes by and the part comes in on a friday....the guy at the desk tells me Dan won't work on it today because he is too busy. Keep in mind it takes 30mins max to change this piece. So when I ask to talk to Dan, the guy tells me NO! Dan wouldn't come out to talk with me nor would he allow me back there to talk to him. So the next best thing was to wait for Tracy to get from lunch....no, that wasn't really a good idea either she only came back to refuse to fix the mstake at all (at least Dan said come back monday). But would you be willing to wait until monday after havin your car down due to a series of their mistakes for a 1 1/2 months?! So I said fuck it went home to do it myself....only to find out that yet again (for 4th time) Batlgrounds ordered the wrong part again.

How in the heck am I supposed to know who you are and what you are referring to???? I don't remember exactly what was said between us, but I do remember the way you came at me about something that I had no knowledge about. AND YOU KNEW I DIDN'T KNOW CUZ THEN YOU SAID I WASN'T THERE THAT DAY! Maybe you should check your tone of voice before you speak to others. You have to give respect to recieve it ;)

and you forgot to tell everyone that I told you to come back on Monday because we were busy that day (we operate by appointment only. the other 2 days we took you with no questions asked...we weren't busy those days ;)) and you pitched a fit and told me you were going to sue me. Remeber??? that's when I got you my attorney's number and told you to contact him if you had anything further to discuss? Once you start talking about taking suit against us...the conversation is over. You have to speak with our lawyer from then on out. That's what he tells us to do...so that's what we do. Dan wouldn't come out because he was tuning a car with a customer. He doesn't have to come out..he's the boss. He has a whole line of people that do their job that he gives them. Try to go to Kroger and ask to speak to the owner at your convenience and you will get a whole chain of command before you get to him. Joey and I told you exactly what Dan would have told you because that's what HE told US to tell YOU!

Remember the first mistake was yours on the stripped bolts. We went out of our way to try to help you with no appointment. We gave you the benefit of the doubt that we made a mistake on tapping the bolts and took another 4 hours to fix it for free at your convenience and on your time schedule (the bolts were tapped right when you left...how they got cross threaDED AGAIN, WE DON'T KNOW...BUT WE FIXED IT AGAIN ANYWAYS. btw, how did they get cross threaded the first time you brought them in????).

There are 2 sides to every story. You tell yours and I'll tell mine. It doesn't really matter in the end because we both know what happened and anyone else that you or I tell is only getting the side that we want people to hear. Smart people understand that. We haven't been in business 5 years by messing up people's cars...smart people know that ;)

It's cool, B. Relax:)! I appreciate your concern, tho. Some of it did happen, just not the way he says. Like I said, there are 2 sides to every story. A lot of people don't like me because I have to give all of the bad news. When that's your job, people get out of line and I have to deal with them the best I know how. No one likes to hear their bill or that their car has bad compression or your parts are on back order. That's my job and then it's comming from a female, no less. I understand why people get upset and I do my best. That's all I can do. I have a high profile and It's my own damn fault...I know this! I didn't know when I was making it. My car (daily driver used to get to and from work) was down for a month because it had no coolant running to the turbo due to that "small hole".

I said (more or less) "Tracy you guys did some work on my car and didn't tap the bolts correctly". You snapped told me I should have talked to Brandon because he probably worked on my car. At the time I didn't know who Brandon was (he wasn't there that day). Well Tracy, you being the knowledgeable mechanic that you are, I'd think you'd understand that 11 year old bolts attached to something as hot as a turbo are going to weaken over time. But maybe you can explain how brand new grade 9 bolts do that?

Well I would have done it myself but didn't have the tools (as I said earlier). I used to use a lot of my dad's tools but I just moved to the area from out of state, so that wasn't really an option. But it was all said and done, it would have been cheaper and faster buy the tools and do it myself. oh well.

You couldnt have bought a set of taps. Like Mike said everybodys a fucking expert. If your such the man you should have fixed it yourself. You obviously broke it yourself.


So what it all boils down to is, You cross threaded the bolt, you took it to have it retapped, then you cross threaded it again, then you started flaming people on the internet.
