Coil packs? Seem to be a common problem with 1.8t motors.

what kinda intake is it? Newer cars dnt take mods well at all. coil packs would cause a rich conditions and misfire but i would think the intake woudl be freaking the mass air flow sensor out causing it to put more fuel than programmed casuing ecu to freak out.

NO!! When u clear ur codes/reset ur check engine light/disconnect ur battery it resets all ur monitors. Ur ecu will have to go through all these different emissions system checks b4 u can get tested or theyll tell ur monitors arent ready to be tested. When u get ur codes cleared ur gonna have to drive the car for a while so it can go through various drive cycle which is when it (ur ecu) performs all these tests.

yeh, if its obd2 then once you reset the check light, you will have to drive for 100 miles before the ecu is in ready mode, if you reset it and try to take emissions right away you will not be able to because once they plug it up it will not start because the ecu is not ready.
