If it is the fuse at the battery on the power wire, first disconnect the power wire from the amp and install a new fuse. If it blows, you have a short in your power wire. Check at the firewall (or doorjam) first, a lot of times installers do not install the power wire correctly and it leads to chaffing off the wire.

If it does not blow, check your ground wire connection to the body of the car. A poor ground can cause the amperes rise - and draw more than the fuse is rated to handle.

Start with that. There are more thing you can check, but first one question. Is the fuse blowing immediately when you stick it in the fuseholder, or is it after you turn on your stereo, or is it just gradual. It the fuse disformed, like it got hot gradually and started to melt, or does it look like it just quickly popped?

from the information i knwo about his car.

its the actual fuse on the amp itself. and from my understanding it blows right away.

if its the fuse on the amp itself that keeps blowing then i would say your amp is bad!

if its the fuse in the amp there could be a short inside check the wires make sure the positive isnt touching the case. what brand is it? some cheap ones just crap out al the time i have seen it happen to some pyramid amps

sounds like your amp has a bad power supply.
