power steering removal

i've been considering removing my power steering hoping to free a few horses, but i've heard that it's bad to do so because of the ps fluid not having a fresh supply or something like that.

wtf do i do? do the pros beat the cons. lemme know!!

well I removed my power steering in my integra, and have had no problems, just when you remove it flush the old fluid out and fill with new fluid.

there are kits you can get, I got mine off of honda-tech, but it is easy to make your own.

also your fluid isn't circulating so there is a con there but it is just like driving a rack and pinion car, or if you really want to buy a new steering rack for non power steering and that would be the best way to go.

well thats good ta know. maybe i can get that off before that dyno day at mainstream.
