I believe a friend of mine is going to be selling his RE XXX 12. He says hes going to buy my 15's.

If you want to pay for JL go right ahead. Its very nice gear, especially the w6v2. I just cant condone spending the prices for JL gear when theres very comparable gear at a lower price.

I have JL w7s ... my two 8s hit 145 in a sealed ... W6s are very tight and putting one in a perfect slot ported is just sick <--- i think thats what you're looking for

what meter did you get tested on? where was the mic located? what shop did you get it tested at? Not to be an ass, but thats a high number for 2 W7 13's sealed and a respectable one for 2 W7 13's ported. I dont even think the A/C SPL 160 was that loose, so more than likely the shop that did it turned the gain on the meter way up to give you the higher score.

JL 500/1, CDA9835, Monster Cap, Monster 4G Wire, Monster 401 RCAs ... It was tested at the old traffic jams off pleasent hill, mic was on the dash, i dont know what kind of meter, and the mic was right between the windshield and the dash ... i've worked in car stereo so you could imagine my surprise but its what the meter said so i'm going to role with it.

If you want to get it metered again let me know. I have the new TL and we can get you an accurate score.

that high of a score wont happen on the TL with that little power in an alignment that can play music. You just missed out on a great deal, but an RE SE would be a good sub for that amp.

I have an image dynamics ID10v3 dual 4ohm hardly any playtime on it, in sealed box .7 after woofer displacement. Runs nice off anything 150-400watts

$90 for woofer and box if interested. ID stuff is always good. Your idea of JL works fine, or look into soundsplinter good value for money

5 years ago most organizations were using the Line X meter. Thats aabout 10-12db off from the current industry standard. meters ( Term-lab, and A/C 190)

trust me 1 12w6v2 is enough, im running 1 12w6v2 in a built 2 spec ported enclosure running off a v12 650 mono and its deep and very accurate. most people think im running atleast 2 subs.
