whats your opinion on these? A friend found a sweet deal on a TV from one of these places, but I don't know what to tell him.. I've never picked anything up from the "Aarons" type joints. your input??

My guess is no, since you will pay for longer then the TV will be good for.. but thats just me.

Its like financing something you never own it you jsut apy to use it, its never yours so really if you rented a tv for one year for 50 a month thats 600 at the end of the year and then your out of a tv.

So you're saying its a lease pretty much? homey was saying he will own it though... or is it an option that you have to pay more for? the kid isn't that bright (lotta dope) so I don't know if I should tell him NO or go with him to see whats up.

some places do you own but you pay for it over time, in that case then its good, but make dam sure he doesnt mean financing becuase then you just pay to use it!

rent a center type places are real, they make their money off the financing. the same tv that is at aaron's or wherever else is the same tv you can purchase at a place like brands mart. at brands mart they cost about 1000-1200 bucks, at aarons they are 89/month for 24 months. that means you pay a total of 2136. 89/month is alot easier for people to come up with then 1200 at once... it all depends on what you want and how patient you are. :)

yeah but what we are saying is that it is just easier to buy a tv strait out instead of renting it! becuase you do jsut that rent it!

When you go to an Aaron's or a Rent-A-Center, you do own your product when you are finished paying for it. Here is the breakdown:

Magnavox TV 27" at WalMart would run you about $200.

That same TV at RAC might run you about $35/month and you would pay that for 1 year. That, would total about $400 after the end of the year. You do own the TV, but you payed double than at Wally World.

The reason why these places make it is because there are a lot of folks that can't come up with $200 at once, so they see that it is easier to come up with $35 every 30 days. Less money is what it seems like. Later, QD.

The reason why is it called RAC is because when you first start paying for the item, you can return it after a few months and the transaction is over. They can also come get your shit if you don't make your payments. Later, QD.
