What you guy using to control the Oil pressure going to you turbos. Especially Vtecs. My oil pressure from the block is 75psi at cold crank up, then as the car warm up it falls 50psi, 25psi, 15-20psi once its is warmed up and idling. Correct me if I'm wrong but you only want about 40, no higher than 60psi hitting you turbo at anytime. Right? Here the problem when I'm at speed above 70mph my pressure is a 75-85psi. So what do you guys use, and where did you get it.

Take out ur oil pressuer switch on the back of the block and put in a T-fitting. Run a -3an steel braided line from one end of the t-fitting and put ur oil pressure switch on the other end of the fitting. Make sure ur oil drain is a descent size and has no crimp.

C'mon man. I know that much. Not trying to be a jerk, but my question wasn't how to run a oil line. It was how to control that oil pressure coming from that -3an line cuz it's still going to be whatever it is coming out from the block

Ur oil pump controls the oil pressure dude. Sounds like ur reading too much. U did ask where u get it from at the end of ur post that y i went through the whole how to descriptions. Not trying to call u dumb but some ppl dnt know.

No I meant where do you guy get oil regulators, I'm using this now

Function7 (http://www.function-7.com/) T3/T4 -3 AN Regulator Turbo Oil Inlet Fitting (http://www.function-7.com/a0-turbo.html)
Function7 - Precision Machined, 7075 Billet Aluminum, -3 AN (JIC) male inlet fitting with integrated restrictor
Part Number: F7T34-R3

This is a fixed price sale for a one-piece billet T3/T4 Turbo Oil Inlet Flange with a male -3 AN (JIC) flare fitting machined directly onto the flange.

This flange has a BUILT-IN REGULATOR (1.6mm orifice) to control oil flow into the turbocharger in order to prevent the turbo bearing cartridge oil seal from blowing out. This happens quite often in import engines which have dynamic oil pressures of 65psi and up
Images show the -4AN version. The -3AN version is similar, but with a -3AN fitting.

Well I would say the size (Inner Diameter) of the feed line is going to have a lot to do with it.

i've never seen a turbo kill the seals due to engine oil pressure... i have seen them die due to many many other reasons, but i've seen plenty running a straight -3 oil line and never an issue. if a turbo requires any kind of restrictor they generally come with them, as most of the BB turbos i've seen do.

THE oil pressure is on the money. My car does the same.

thats pretty much it. the worst thing that will happen is on start up you will have blow by(usually on the exhasut side) and once the pressure comes down you'll be good to go. my t-28 is running just over 95psi on start up and will blow oil out the elbow(not alot but there are a few drops), once it warms up no leaks.

FALSE!!! Oil pressure can blow out seals, to the point of you losing 4 quarts of oil in 20 miles, trust me I have two turbos waiting for a rebuild right now due to that very same fact.

just run a 3an feed line, it restricts it enough to be safe. Standard bearing turbos need oil pressure to operate correctly since they basically work like the bearings in your rods. BB turbos are what really need a restrictor, they only need pretty much a trickle of oil to keep things rolling.

interesting... i never ever had any leakage on my stock T25 and i would run similar oil pressures on startup. when i pulled it off the car to install the 2871 it was clean as can be.

then you should buy a better turbo, im assuming your using some sort of t3/t4 turbo right? everyday on start up my car goes to over 90psi and if i drive it before its warm the oil pressure will go past 100psi rolling around in my driveway. now the stock rb25 turbo is a terd, it will literally come apart at 14psi. but even it only leaks a little, sometimes if its pissed off. yeah the t-25 and t-28 i had on my sr never leaked even at 90psi, they are just better turbos i guess.

3an is fine. one of our friends restricted his turbo and it blew. i'd rather have a little more oil then not enough.
