Close Wally, I told you the old Charger with a 440 wedge motor (built for a boat) had that issue, 4 mpg was a good day! Gas at that time (76) was at $0.61 a gallon (we though that was high) and I really didn’t care that I hit the pump twice a day. Trust me it was worth every penny to drop that monster into 2nd at 55 and light'em up, what a feeling!

Disclaimer: I don’t, and do not condone street racing!!! Keep it on the track boys and girls...

The new SRT 10 Quad cab (a slow-brick at 500/525 n/a) has the old issue, I think it gets between 7 and 9 mpg  but Mopars new Hemi technology is a different story (Pete correct me if I'm wrong here), the new motors shut off 4 cylinders when cruising... :goodjob:

CORRECT For the 5.7l has mds but the 6.1 is all balls out who cares about gas or tires.
