Thanks Bro. I apprieciate the input. Let me know what they say about the wheels. Worst case, maybe "black chrome" the stock wheels.
I can't any info on a chip but i'll keep looking. I'm not sure that there is enough out there to get much more than 450-475 HP out of it, but it will be fun trying.
Yea, all black theme is the way I'm going. I'm looking for a place to "black Chrome" the grill ASAP.
I'm not feeling a body kit but thanks for the thoughts.

aigh so here is why aftermarket wheels on jags are not good. Because they are not hub centric, so no matter how many o rings or spacers(shit forgot what he called them) you put on them they will always have heavy vibrations at about 50mph. No an alignment will not fix them. So there you have it. but if u dont car about a smooth ride then shit wheel that motha fucka up

pretty good unless you liek to beat the shit outh of them but they do come with 6 year/ 100k warrenty. And jaguar does have the best covered warrenty. Got awards for it for the past 3 years

Thanks guys. I apprieciate the thoughts of good luck.
Yea, I've heard of Jags having issues with aftermarket wheels and the need for "hubcentric rings" (sp?) and people having problems after changing from stock.
Thanks for talking to your crew about them. Like I said at the start of the post, I never thought that I would own a Jag but having having a group like this toss in their .02 helps. Thanks!
Oh yea, 28 G's for a "R" is still a hella deal..someone should swoop that up. If you can afford the up keep, it's a way fun ride.
Thanks Guys!
Merry Christmas!
"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Chuckster again." Sorry Bro. I owe you.

So it is possible to get a manual tranny? I thought only the X's could get a manual?

since i have worked for jag we have had 2 5 speed stypes and one was ordered by a customer. XK and XJ 5 speeds are not sold in the us

So theoretically if he were to get something along the lines of DPE, Iforged, Jline, Forgeline, etc (the custom wheel companies) who make thier wheels hubcentric and vehicle specific he would be okay? That would be assuming he has $4-5000 to spend on wheels and tires, but im just curious, i mean a lot of cars need hubcentric rings. Both my 18s and 19s needed rings, but no bad results...or is the Jag just REALLY sensative?

well if he has a good set of tires on those R wheels he can easily sell them for 4-5gs and get DPE, Iforged, Jline, Forgeline, ect. You missed read that or i prolly missed typed it. THEY ARE NOT HUBCENTRIC!

are you saying the stock wheels ARE or ARE NOT hubcentric? or are you saying the aftermarket wheels aren't hubcentric?

I think he means the stock wheels arent hubcentric, hence the reason hubcentric rings would not help on aftermarket wheels. Now this may seem stupid, but im just wondering what are they wheels (or where are they) if they are not "centered on the hub"???

From back in the day* I was told that most if not all Jags have bolts that hold on the wheels* not lug nuts. And because of this it is difficult to find a wheel that was designed to be bolted to the car. I'm not in the mood to pull the wheels of of mine to find out sooo..
I'll be back at the dealer today..I'll ask around.
