you'd have to be an idiot to buy a RS. For damn near 23,000 for a evo with no HID's,No manual Windows,No Cd player you gots to be crazy. but it does weigh less . Honestly its going to be hard to find any "enthusiasts" car that hasn't been beat to shit. 350 Track edition and the RS evo were made to be beat to shit.

But EVOS are a good choice IF 1. NO Boost controller installed 2.No aftermarket bov 3. No Reflash 3. Most Important STILL UNDER THE MITSU WARRANTY!!

There is a whole lot more aftermarket available for the 350 that comes int eh 04, also it has a cable throttle body instead of the gay ass drive by wire.. however the 6.0 in the 05+ cars does produce more power over all.

You heard wrong. lol. 14.5@ 97 is slow, compaired to your Jetta? Anyway. It comes fully loaded, with everything you can imagine stock. Um, the only real options were transmission, colours, and navigation. In the '03s, the Navi comes with On Star.

Sorry about that , I thought I did.. The problem with that car is that it is rare, real... real.. rare. I looked thru the auto trader and there was ONE, it was like a teal color which is not my style.. the other thing is they are likely ragged like the other performance cars. IF I were to find one in good condition I would definatly consider it!

My jetta as it sits would have beat it up, but that isnt the point I suppose as we are comparing "factory" cars. Also "slow" is a relative term ;) I do like the fact that it is available "fully" loaded. I may be a bit biased and be looking more for a RWD or AWD car but that doesnt mean I will rule anything out, atleast until I drive it. :)

Hmmm.... thats weird, I just looked on autotrader.com and there are atleast 6 on the first page of results within 50 miles of my zip code.... http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?advanced=y&bkms=1135304023799&certified=&isp=y&search=y&lang=en&search_type=both&make=FORD&sponsorModel=&model=MUST&make2=sel_one&start_year=2003&end_year=2004&min_price=&max_price=&max_mileage=&distance=50&address=30080&engine=8+Cylinder&fuel=&drive=&transmission=&doors=&color=&x=111&y=7

Also.... You can rag out mustangs... thats what they are built for, as long as the car hasn't been redlined often, running it hard won't hurt it a bit.

I see ZERO that fit exactly what I was looking for , apparently the teal one sold. again due to my specific circumstances I can not get a car over 25,000.00 on the page you listed there were a few, they were NOT under 25k, i can call on the "unlisted" ones and check but I have a feeling they are a bit more then im looking to spend.

My dream car... 06 RSX Type-S

Vteckidd
12-23-2005, 01:35 PM
newer than 2000
under $25,000

I would choose:
1) S2000
One of the best handling cars ever made. Spirited driving is a must in this car, and it begs to be driven hard. However its cramped space i hear for long driving periods.

2) RSX Type S
Beautifull car, great handling, great looks, great comfort. Very quick car, awesome interior IMO, Honda reliability, Easy to mod and make fast with minimul cost and no sacrifice in reliability.

3) 01 ITR
A legendary car. Very underated for its age. Great handling car, great Honda platform, reasonably priced, very hard to find one with low mileage however. ask any ITR owner, they are great cars. very well BALANCED.

4) 01 Camaro SS
Last year for the production of the camaro. Not a great handling car, but it is FAST. 330hp on tap, easy to mod and make fast, so so interior. You can tell that chevy focused on the engine, and didnt touch the 1985 interior. However, they are very cheap, and have held up pretty well. i have a friend that owns one.

5) FD RX7
I know tyou said newer than 2000 year, but it is one of the best looking and handling, and faster cars of the 90s. even by todays standards, its stil considered a super car. YOu can find them with low mileage and in great shape, due to their loyal following. I would be weary of their track record however. some of them have been known to be maintanence whores. but my uncle has one, and for the last 5 yhears he has had NO PROBLEMS with his what so ever.

other than that, i think the cars i would want are way out of your price range. i dont know what a 2000-2003 Vette goes for, but it might be something to look at if they are within that price range. G35 coupes, i have a hard time believing they are under $25,000, even used. but i could be wrong.

I have always liked the R32 Golfs, but you already have a VW so nevermind.

i would go with a 03-04 cobra or a EVO. matter of fact i know where a 03 EVO is that been taken care of. if your looking for one. the cars never been to the drag strip and has never been launched. if your interested shoot me PM.

03-04 cobras make rediculous (sp) power with little mods. i got a friend that just bought his 4th one yesterday and they all made 450-500 easy.

YoshiFD3S

I almost got an S2000 myself last year.

In that price range I'd go Evo or STI personally.

S2000 is great, but only if I were to build the motor for single-turbo.

I would say a decked out S2K looks a heluva lot better than any Evo or STI, though. And LAST YEAR, S2K's with maybe 30k miles were roughly 18k, so an S2K is def. in your price range.
