100 octane enough for 20psi? i know it all depends if it will start knocking n such but has anybody ran that much on 100?

I don't know about SR's but Shane runs like 19-23psi in his Srt-4 on 93 oct homie. So you should be good.

depends on what you are tuned for. if its not tuned on 100 octane at 20psi and you just turn up the boost to 20psi and run 100 octane then "NO".

if you are tuned on 20psi and c16 and want to run 100 then "NO"

if you are tuned on 20psi and 100 octane then yes. if you are tuned on 30psi on 100 octane and turn it down to 20psi then maybe depending on the tune.

20psi and tuned on 100 octane should be good depending on how much hp you are making....

just all depends on what you tuned with....

on a t3/t04e on a sr i will be making upwards of 400whp with 20psi Thanks n i hink i got what i am gonna do. get it tuned at low boost first on 93 octane, then fill it up with 100 octane n get it tuned at 20 psi. Just have to buy a couple of gas cans to keep some 100 octane around.

also how hard would it be to have an exta fuel cell installed? like a sepearate tank n pump so i can have a 93 octane primary and a 100 octane secondary.

on the stock sr bits anything over 20psi really needs c12 or better. if you wanna run a separate tank just buy one of the the little 5 gallon jobs from jegs/summit and run an edelbrock fuel pump.

I really dont think that is necessary to run a totally different fuel system. just get 2 tune, 1 for low octane and 1 for high octane. which ever one you want to run for that day just use that map.

if you run a separate fuel system and want to do it right it will cost you alot of money for lines and fittings. My sump for a fuel cell system cost me about $300 already, got some free stuff.... and im missing some fittings still.

I am running 8an feed and 6an return....the ss lines are pretty pricy, not to mention 90 degree earl fittings. but if you do it might as well do it right...

too true.

i still wouldnt go too much past 20psi on pump gas. you could run like a c12/93 cocktail and be ok. like a gallon of c12 with every full tank would probably work or try that rocket fuel shit, im mixing a batch right now.

why? its all in the timing. My friend ran 25 psi on 93 octane for over a year. he only made 414whp with that amount of boost to because the timing wasnt touched, it was a baby tune haha. Once you start tightening that timing, your threshold for detonation starts to get closer.
