Ok i am wanting to get my engine tuned and i am just trying to figure out what all they do in a tune. I figure if it is just the basics plugs wires cap ect. I can do all that myself but i am just wanting to know if there is more to it. I am only doing 147 on the dyno right now and i know i can get at least 10 more.

No tuning is a lot more in depth that a tune up. They will basically alter the fuel map/timing through out the rpm band to produce the most horsepower and compliment your build. That is why there is dyno time normally involved. Atleast I am pretty sure that is the bulk of it, I am still tired this morning and half asleep :p

ferrea valvetrain- do you have their flat faced valves? that would mean a raise in compression. the intake manifold is stock, so thats no big deal, what kind of JE pistons, what compression level 10.5:1,11:1,11.5:1 etc? do you have the A beam or H beam eagle rods?

If you dont have at least VAFC then its worthless. PM me for more information. The cams are weak and so is the intake manifold, those are the problems with your setup, you running shitty cams and a stock intake manifold. i would look at getting CTR cams and a AEBS intake manifold. the dynos i have done i have seen the power band extend 800rpms on a b16 with just the AEBS.

PM me or VTECKIDD on aim

if you can [properly] wire up a stereo then you shouldn't have a problem with a v-afc...just get the diagram(s) from A'pexi's site and sometimes you have to cross reference it with another diagram to match your car (normally only with a swap)
