I have an '01 VR6 GTI and was wondering what all I would need to do a 1.8t swap and a ballpark of how much it would cost

Sorry for being so vague

honestly, it would be cheaper to just boost your vr6 than swap a 1.8t into it

Thanks.

But in my case, i think my VR6 went to shit. So i'm wondering if it would be cheaper to try and even fix it, or swap in a 1.8t

dude i told ya i had a friend who could help ya rebuild that vr6... the motor alone for the 1.8t will probably run you 2500$...

Yea i remember. Well then, i'd really like to talk and possibly find out if theres anyway to have him possibly come out and take a look at my, car or if i could take my head to him and find out exactly what i need. I need to get my car running again :(

Oh and i was told last night by a good friend and a VERY reliable source that i might of blown my head gasket :(

I'm pretty much good for every night except Thursday. Other than that, any night will do. The car's in my driveway, and i wouldn't say it has the best light ever. Some light but very little visibility. Thanks man!

I'd recommend doing a simple rebuild on the 12v VR6 and do a Kinetic MS turbo kit, a great kit that is worth lookin into...especially since VR6s sound so sexy....and to not have a 1.8T is different now. (nothing against them, I still have one too)

honestly bro, that 1.8t is around 5g's to swap into a mark 2...Probably a little cheaper to put it in ur car, but......maybe cheaper just to plop a 24v vr6...

with the bent valve, it's a perfect time to port that bitch out...you have to ride in a strong vr6 to really undestand their potential!!

I really just need to get my car running again. I need it, as it is my daily driver and it sucks paying for a car that your not even driving, ya know.
