We would've beat the spurs last year too. They dodged us, but its fine. We have a legit coach now and a bench to compete with any bench in the NBA. There has only been one game the spurs and clippers played against each other this year with the full rosters(clippers crushed them). Clippers are considerably more talented, deeper, and now we have the coaching and a high enough seed to play the b/s teams like the spurs do every season. We will capture the 2nd seed Wednesday and won't look back!!!

Lebron isn't the issue. Them playing in the weak east is the problem. If they were in the west they would be #4 seed right now. needless to say they wouldn't come out the east.

I can put the Heat in the Finals right now, thats pretty easy for me to pick. In the West, I have no idea. I dont feel confident about anyone .

Luck counts, Pop outsmarting himself counts, we can coulda shoulda all we want, Spurs lost last year, Clippers couldnt get past Memphis, etc.

I think the most talented team is LAC, but , the most talented doesnt always win. Im not sold on BG in playoffs , YET. Spurs comes down to health, I think in a straight up series, I still trust Spurs SYSTEM over Clippers.

OKC is a darkhorse for me at this point, I think their time to win came and went. Their hopes are pinned to Perkins who they refuse to get rid of

I would be more worried this year, than last. Blake Griffin has def improved his game. They play defense now, at full strength they are as good and more athletic than the Spurs.

HOWEVER, I trust the Spurs in crunch time over the Clippers. SO................

If the Clippers pull a OKC from 2 years ago and shoot 60% from the field, Spurs have NO SHOT.

We OWN okc now... we are considerably deeper than them at EVERY POSITION!! We now have a coach who coaches defense and is a much better play caller in critical late game situations.

I've been waiting on this. This is exactly what I told you would happen, we would get knocked out last season, and get doc rivers. In case you haven't been watching we are the deepest and strongest in the league now. The spurs benefited from a easy schedule during their winning stretch and hardly played any playoff teams. Either way they are the most consistent regular season nba franchise..... but that won't help them this post season....

ANYWAY, Blake/Jordan have been the best PF and C combo in the NBA this season. Blake has been the best PF for most of the entire season. You can flip between him and Love. Blake has drastically changed his game, might wanna stay up a little late sometime and catch these late games. He has been crushing a very large % of the PF's in the NBA this season.

I agree that Love is overall better than Blake. There's no harm being sevond in the NBA at your position to a person thats #1 but he wont even make the playoffs. Blake does A LOT of things no other PF CAN do in the NBA. Not many PF can get a rebound and run a legitimate fast break and pass with the other great passing big men.

Yea we definitely didn't show up offensively. A TON of missed open shots, and NOBODY shot free throws well. Except Blake. But we definitely missed crawfords scoring off the bench early, and his dominating 4th quarter scoring. A game with no crawford is a game with no manu....

No crawford and it was JJ's first game back. Granger will be a vital SF defender and Big baby may have to finish games when Deandre has issues. They both are extremely important, they both are tough and have deep playoff/championship experience.

Not to mention we are the ONLY team in the NBA with 4 players averaging 15+ PPG. It doesnt completely hinge on blake, we are deep at every position on the floor and have enough play makers to make any team worry....

Blake was playing with a serious injury last season. Don't forget, he is heavily improved his actual game this season. He's been lights out the ENTIRE season. If not for a guy named durant and a guy named lebron james...... he would be the MVP of the league without a doubt!

Not anoymore...... We are one of the best overall defensive teams. The reason we get so many transition baskets is because of our defense. The spurs have yet to see it, we are just rounding out getting back healthy, with only granger to come back in the playoffs.

JJ reddick changes a lot of the half court issues we had...... he is truly one of the best shooters in the NBA today.

The clippers are a team that plays good defense and has great offense. Their defense leads their offense... hard to tell from last game, but no blake griffin is more than a big deal. No excuses, just a simple watch the game and see.

Tonight isn't a must win. We can win in GS in the playoffs just as easily as we can at home...... GS will see today, they are no match for us. 1 game is 1 game...... ask CP3, they won game 1 against the lakers when he was in NO.... and didn't win a game after. lol..... same thing......

How does the leader in the NBA in assists by over 2 assists a game, the leader in steals in the NBA, the 3rd best efficiency % in the NBA behind durant and lebron, and the NBA LEADER in ASSISTS to TURNOVER ratio become overrated? He should be recognized as the third most important and the 3rd best player in the ENTIRE NBA. His floor presence is as much noticed on DEFENSE just as much as offense.... We would score 120 on them a game, he would have to shoot like that JUST to stay in a series with us. And when their bench comes in..... well.... you should know whats going to happen then.

This is the same LMA that has played all season, houston just simply doesn't play defense. He's been doing this all season, its just more obvious against bad defensive teams. Blake does great against him, and every year especially this one, blake's defense has got better.

See Sinfix's comment above? I'm guessing by your comments vteckidd that you called it a early night, missed the second half, woke up and watched the highlights on ESPN in the morning.

We have learned a lot of things from Game 1-3 that we will use to win Game 4 in convincing fashion. Blake is virtually unstoppable at multiple moments in each game.

His 3rd quarter last night told us EXACTLY that. Mark Jackson was feeling a GREAT deal of pressure to ride his starting unit out the remainder of the game, even when doc river's goes to his bench late in the 3rd quarter!

Doc has shown NO FEAR of the warriors at any point in this series. He doesn't ride a hot hand longer than he normally would. The entire team has played their same minutes for the most part. He won't adjust that. We are ALL AROUND at every postiion on the court more domination than GS. He prob kept paul and DJ out a little too long for GS to hit a few shots and make a final push. But the final result wasn't curry/paul's last play.... it was GSW inability to defend on the other end.

Chris Paul defense and blake griffins dominance has been the difference in this series. I WISH people would stop acting like Curry is just "shooting bad"..... paul's defense has been DOMINATING and too much for curry to overcome. Hell, half the time he is too pressured to even get off a "clean look".

My thoughts on Sterling to those that care:
1. Reprehensible, terrible comments. Im not black, so I dont know how to tell black people that his words dont hurt, or to move on, etc. Ive never been denied a job because of my race or treated differently (in things that matter) because of the color of my skin. But, as a white male, who grew up around a very culturally diverse population (hawaii, boston, ATl, military), I cant imagine how this day and age people have these views. Especially someone who has to work globally with something like an NBA franchise.

2. Having REALLY thought this over, the players should not sit out, they should play. Basketball is bigger than some 80 year old bigots comments (that were made in private) to his mistress who is obviously a money grubbing whore bag. The team is more important , the guys they have in the locker room mean more than Sterlings words. In the offseason, decide if you want to play for him again. If you do, great, if not, so be it.

3. Sterling should NOT be stripped of ownership. Thats pandoras box, and I think Cuban articulated that the best. Sterling was illegally recorded in PRIVATE, it doesnt excuse his comments, it doesnt make it better, but you cant just start taking things away from people because they expressed their own "legal" views in their home or private living quarters. Its just not American. Its Freedom of Speech. Its HATEFUL despicable speech, but its protected none the less. Sterling didnt commit a crime.

4. The Players/Coaches/Fans all have the last say. Hit him in his wallet. Boycott until he leaves, Doc wont come back, Fans stay away. Dont renew season tickets, dont buy tickets to games, dont come to Clipper media functions, etc. He would step down at that point he would have no choice.

5. People like him get what they deserve in the end.

They both aren't good enough to be in the second round and are irrelevant to us now. GSW had twice the injures houston had. Bogut and Iggy missed a chunk of this season.

Same with us, we were a game behind OKC. Paul missed 18 games and OKC plays better without Westbrook. So imagine if they both were healthy all season. We would have home court. But its fine, we are too deep for them and play as a team with a unselfish PG.

Coach Pop has already said Paul was better than Parker and doc already has stated he's never seen an on ball defender like Paul in his NBA career. If it wasnt for a complete CP3 shooting explosion in game 1 (which wont happen again), OKC would be up 2-0. Sorry. CP3 isnt hitting 8 three pointers in a row. They dont shoot that well, you should know this, you watch them.

Also, RW was cheating on defense in the first game, and CP3 made him PAY. BIG TIME. He did not do that last night, he didnt go under screens. He is much faster than Cp3 so he can go over the top and get back on defense which is what he did and it was effective. Blake and DJ wont get easy baskets , Ibaka and Perkins are doing good jobs keeping them away from the basket.

Still feel OKC is the better team. They have RW and KD on the floor for 40 minutes. Hard to beat. I worry about them vs Spurs because Spurs have 3 HOFers and 2 or 3 other all stars. OKC better finish them QUICK because they may get gassed.

The problem with OKC (and ive said it from day 1) is that the Clippers have Doc Rivers. You remember that argument you made (or should i say excuses) from last year about VDN not being good enough? Thats how Scott Brooks is. He doesnt coach. He doesnt call plays. When WB is GOOD WB, OKC is almost unbeatable. When he plays ragged and on the edge, they lose. KD should have posted CP3 and forced a double team, its basketball 101. He didnt, he tried to let them do what they always do which is shoot their way to victory.

All these adjustments, and despite all that bad coaching, WB still had a WIDE OPEN look to win the game.

You guys are not dominating anything. its not even close. You need your starters and bench players to cover 2 PEOPLE. Do you realize how shallow the Clippers are? They didnt dominate the THunder, they threw a weird matchup to them, and OKC will adjust and be better IMO. Brooks doesnt adjust on the fly, he waits a game, then adjusts.

My thoughts

Clippers , what are they missing? Last year it was the Coach, this year ? Their teams have gotten BETTER, not worse. Doc won 1 more game than VDN. What is the problem? Their team is arguably one of the deepest in the league if not THE deepest. Well heres my take:

Chris Paul is NOT a superstar. hes an ELITE player, hes a GREAT talent. But hes not Tony Parker, hes not D rose, hes not WB, hes not Iverson. How many 6ft tall players have gone to the FINALS? Allen Iverson? Isiah Thomas? Any team would LOVE to have him on their team. But, he cannot CARRY a team. He cant really be counted on from what I have seen. Hes been in the league for 9 years, hes not aggressive enough. He needs more Westbrook in him, more IM GOING TO SCORE less pass. Problem is hes not 1/2 the athlete WB is. Mistakes, he made some pretty bad Turnovers at crucial moments. Superstars need to do better than that.

Like outright clotheslines him then yells at the ref "WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT FOUL AT ?" and goes to ride the bench. IDIOT, let him dunk. WB is a 90% FT shooter and gifting him 2 FTs AND FOULING OUT is the STUPIDEST THING YOU COULD HAVE DONE. Too good a player to make those mistakes.

FLOPPING. The Clippers are a team that FLOPS. They bitch and moan after EVERY call and try to get a foul ANYTIME there is contact. Then, when they have a legitimate case for a call, the refs dont give it to them. STOP FLOPPING. Make the Refs job EASIER. When you flop and get a cheap call, it lessens the chance of when youll NEED A LEGIT foul called. EVERYONE does it, CP3 does it, BG does it, its despicable. CP3 GRABBED Collison and threw his leg nonchanlantly on that offensive foul, and then acted like he never touched him. its just laughable.

They need a legit Shooting guard. Out of BG and CP3 and DJ, Im not sure who the SCORER is. Who can get HOT and hit shots. its not DJ. BG cant do that. CP3 doesnt seem to want to do that.

Clippers , what are they missing? Last year it was the Coach, this year ? Their teams have gotten BETTER, not worse. Doc won 1 more game than VDN. What is the problem? Their team is arguably one of the deepest in the league if not THE deepest. Well heres my take:

Chris Paul is NOT a superstar. hes an ELITE player, hes a GREAT talent. But hes not Tony Parker, hes not D rose, hes not WB, hes not Iverson. How many 6ft tall players have gone to the FINALS? Allen Iverson? Isiah Thomas? Any team would LOVE to have him on their team. But, he cannot CARRY a team. He cant really be counted on from what I have seen. Hes been in the league for 9 years, hes not aggressive enough. He needs more Westbrook in him, more IM GOING TO SCORE less pass. Problem is hes not 1/2 the athlete WB is. Mistakes, he made some pretty bad Turnovers at crucial moments. Superstars need to do better than that.

To be honest. They took too long to finally find out how to play with each other. The team didn't grasp onto the new coaching staff's defensive schemes. Basketball is a game of chemistry. It takes years sometimes...... i wish people would quit putting time tables on peoples careers. You don't know how long anybody is going to play, and look at how many legends never won a ring or won after their ("9th season") ..... go look at all the greats man.... quit letting skip bayless bait you into crazy comments....and for the last time, the spurs are a dominant FRANCHISE, they don't have ONE GREAT PLAYER, they have 4+ Dominant Players.... let's stop acting like Parker does anything alone.

CP3 will bounce back hard from that game 5 loss, the clippers will be better next year and it will go on from there......the clippers are as much on the rise as any team in the nba and they will be contenders for the next 4+ years! they are YOUNG. Imagine when BG comes back next year, he was 3rd in MVP voting this season and gets better daily. just keep watching man, their careers are FAR from over...... Cp3 will probably end up top 5 in nba history assists wise and will probably grab a championship or 2 in his career......he doesn't rely on athletic ability, he will be the same when his age goes up as well..... the reason he's one of the best in the league, is everything OTHER than athletic ability....... let's see how it goes...........

they will never recover from losing harden...... that one piece was james harden, the rest of the west has caught them and have less experience together. we were only a game behind them for home court in our series. and we had more injuries than chris chandler..... i cant imagine if we had a season damn near injury free like indiana.....

Agreed. The Harden trade was terrible for them because they THOUGHT they were choosing Harden or Ibaka, what it turned out to be was Harden or Perkins. What did they get for that trade? Kevin Martin for a wasted year...rental, and Jeremy Lamb who NEVER FUCKING PLAYS and was actually not that bad for Houston.

Having said that, OKC has the team and talent to win. They just dont have the coach. I firmly believe that. They have shooters (Lamb, Perry Jones, Fisher, Butler , Jackson) They really need to play the Collison/Adams duo more, and just fucking get rid of Perkins for another 3 pt shooter.

MJ and Pippen didnt have any dominant big men, they won with trash Centers but strong PFs and shooters (Grant, Paxson, Kerr). Dont tell me it cant be done. But when all you do is run the same down screen to get Durant free over an over again, teams can prepare for that.

While I agree with all your statements, and I believe CP3 will be a 1st ballot HOFer, you just reinforced my point. Hes not THE GUY to win you a championship. He is what he is, hes had MORE TALENT around him than most and he still cant get to the conference finals. Now its EXTREMELY hard to get there, but , not grasping the defensive schemes?
