In some Walmart stores, customers emptied shelves like it was Black Friday, while in others, no one could buy anything -- all thanks to a weekend of glitches with the nation's welfare system.

Problems involving Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards, the government payments to the poor that are administered by states with the help of private companies, plagued at least 17 states Saturday and Sunday, creating retail riots. At Louisiana stores in Springhill and Mansfield, cards registered no spending limits, prompting recipients to go on buying binges.

I never thought about it that way..... with 1 in 7 Americans on food stamps, all that economic growth should have built up about a 17 trillion dollar surplus by now.

I'm trying to learn and keep up with the times. My whole life ive been living this lie that how much money i made would be based on how hard i worked and how valuable my skills were. I also believed that like minded ambitious people like myself would use their skills and abilities to create new businesses. Then, with a variety of businesses and services available, people would then work to obtain what they wanted. All this time i've been living a lie..... it was actually the government's job to decide who should and should not have certain things.

It seems like there's communist democrats, communist democrats who call themselves republicans to maintain the two party illusion and then a small handful of politicians who still believe in the constitution who are slandered and labeled racists by one or both of the communist groups in washington.

I use EBT have since my baby was born and we can't get Fried chicken or Beer :(
