Seems that most players (outside of the NFLPA) agree with you. One of Mike and Mike's guests this morning made a very good point about this. Concussions MIGHT affect you years down the line. ACL's unquestionably affect your quality of life and your earning potential.

Ok, so my problem is MJD is 50/50 on playing Sunday vs the BILLS(atrocious run defense.). I have his backup should he miss, so he should get the start. My problem is my remaining RBs are Woodhead and Bobby Fuggin Rainey.

Rainey vs SAN FRAN (not a good matchup although he WILL get 20+ touches).
Woodhead vs DEN (SD will have to throw the ball so its an enticing matchup)
Andre Ellington vs Ten (decent matchup, although hes not really the #1 back as they still use Mendenhall)

SO, IF i roll the dice and wait , i lose DW as he plays tonight. If I play DW, im also playing Keenan Allen (i dont like to have 2 guys in thursday night matchups especially "wr".

I feel like my best play at RB is:
Andre Ellington #1
MJD at #2 (but if he misses play Todman or Rainey).

Even though Woodhead has a good matchup tonight, im hesitant to play him while i ALSO have Keenan Allen in the lineup.

Ellington - Because our defense sucks as far as keeping RBs out of the endzone..if i'm not mistaken Ellington has the upside from the jump, not to mention, i believe he's the main goal line RB

Rainey - any RB against SF is a gamble..i normally try to find a decent option..Rainey isnt that solidified as a RB in my mind to put him up there..and i havent watched TB to see how well gelled their OL is.

i'd keep MJD and Rainey as flex options

I would NOT play Edelman, something tells me the Pats lose this game. I would run with Jordy Nelson, hes more likely to get a TD than Edelman. I think the Patriots go RUN HEAVY vs the Dolphins. Now, could edelman explode? sure. So could Vereen, so could Amendola (literally and fantasy wise LOL), but I think Nelson is still a more reliable play. At Flex, Im going to surprise you, Id run with Montee Ball or Matthews. Prob Ball more because I think the chargers are going to be so far behind theyll have to throw and that hurts matthews. Ball should get some goalline garbage TDs I bet. They will want to rest Moreno if they get a huge lead.

Several solid TE's in this year's draft and free agency.


As for defense, look for the Pats to start with DB's. Their front 7 will improve dramaticly with Wilfork and Mayo back.

depends on FA. I would say maybe, unless we get word we are signing a big time WR, at which point i would think BB goes heavy DEF. Brady would have Amendola, Gronk, Stud WR, 2 rookie WRs, we can grab a TE in 4-5th round or bring back Sudfeld IMO.

A lot of talk Stevie Johnson will be out of Buffalo before camp starts to free up cap space. Maclin and Cooper in Philly are both free agents and could probably be had for cheap. James Jones has hinted that he wants to test free agency.

It isnt unreasonable to think the Pats could pick up 2 legitimate veteran WR's to go along with the young but talented WRs that are already there.

TE's that can fill the role will be there to be had.

Lets not forget that the Pats have Tom Brady at QB. He doesnt need game changers to be great. He needs role players that he will make look like greats.


There is a good chance one of the 3 or 4 shutdown CB's will be available at the end of the first round. That is where I expect them to do. Next choice would be for a true pass rusher.

yea but the run game wasnt effective...more PA plays, screens and chuck down plays should have been instilled once seeing they couldnt run shit..they were only getting like 2-3 yards per play until like the end of the 3rd i believe. it was horrible to watch...if the run game aint working, you still aint gonna keep Peyton off the field.

oh and one other thing, aside from the Chargers having a totally different offensive line, the Broncos defense look like they've gotten better...at least the front 4..but i still think the Pats going to the superbowl...
