View Full Version : Ok, Crossfit people, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO POST YOUR SHIT EVERY FUCKING DAY

Vteckidd

OMG, I go to the gym 5 days a week for 2 hours, I DONT POST EVERY REP I TAKE EVERY DAY.

Jesus christ is this shit a fucking cult?

I mean I know people that use it religiously and they have seen great results, so Im not knocking the "being in shape" part of it. But it seems to me like Crossfit people are part of this annoying community/cult/family and all they do is use social media to tweet or facebook their workouts and "stats" or WODs.

ITS SO FUCKING ANNOYING.

They should make a site called CROSSBOOK so Crossfit people can go there and jerk each other off.

Yeah my brother has a friend that did do the Crossfit competitions and says that its really not healthy doing all of those workouts at once and your body feels like shit and aching after.

It's a self esteem thing mike.....they lack it so they have to over compensate on social media and deny the lack of self esteem IRL.

Another reason I am glad I have never been apart of any social media site.

I actually had a few friends on FB that had an app that would automagically upload their entire workout everyday when they were done. It's awesome knowing how many pullups you did, brah.

On the Insanity note, I actually like it. I've been doing it for a little while now.

Hey, my abs are all well defined. They are defined by a balloon as opposed to a washboard.

False. You have to be a level 1 trainer to own an affiliate and has the brand name 'crossfit'.if you shop for a gym and they copy theworkout from hq than you are not shopping for the right gym.

The whole thing is as annoying as some people who find the need to update their fb every 5 mins. Even in traffic.

FALSE.

You take the training class and your "certified". The certification is a joke, guys 400 lbs can get certified with no formal training what so ever

Same goes with personal trainers at la or maybe lifetime. Buy the books, take the test if you pass it you're certified. Its how it is in the personal training industry. So in other words if a 400 lbs man want to buy the books and take the test and certified, than he is a personal trainer.

The question is, are you smart enough to pick the right personal trainer?

That is also true. I do see people at the gym who lift and exercise the absolute worst way. Im not saying all Crossfit is bad.

I just dont like the Hive mentality it breeds. People dont usually just Crossfit. I look at Crossfit like the Jehovahs Witnesses of working out. They arent just happy with being physically fit. They have to belong to some culture/cult, wear the clothes, eat the food, drink the koolaid and preach the message.

Thats what pisses me off

All in all its all come down to your health and your fitness goal. If you think playing hoops for 2 hrs makes you look good, feel good and healthier, go for it.

The reason why cfitters have the mentality is prolly because of the camaradarie at his or her gym. Kinda like the millitary branches people who are marines always go for marines.

As far as the whole crossbook idead, they have one. The cf main website and the comments on every wod of the day. I dont see the reason why people need to post on fb. Thats why i dont have one.

I totally agree with you on the camaraderie aspect. But I feel like its more of a fad than anything.

I know people who pay $200/month for a crossfit gym and go twice a month, like retards. They only go because its "cool".

No way in hell Im paying 200 a month for a gym. Lifetime wanna charged me 79 for a month and i left immediately. If someone just wanna join a gym to look cool, than cf,mma, powerlifting, bodybuilding ect ect is not gonna help them get fit and healthier.

So much agreed - How much life is left in "crossfit"? Place your bets....

On a side rant - These same arguments are exactly why I hate MMA. I know I'm gonna catch flack for this but Yes, I enjoy watching pro fights - These guys are tough and could take me out. They are good fighters and have trained hard.

What I hate about MMA is the fact that now every lean-pseudo-macho man is training MMA and learning the "moves". These MMA "moves/attacks" can be so tactically misguided they are utterly useless. This video : SUPERMAN PUNCH FAIL. - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08fJvygBtDU) is everything that is wrong with MMA. The form on that "move" is horrid. Even when pros use it - hands flailing about unable to protect the body, off-center gravity. MMA to the general pop is such a fan-boy glam game.

But meh. who cares.
