I traded in the 08 R1 back in September and I picked up a new 2012 ZX-10R(I know, I know). Then I tore my MCL in October so I was off the bike and not doing much until late January. Once I became mobile it was on to the mods. Of course it's a never ending saga w/ me so this is just the beginning. So far I really LOVE this bike. It feels like my R6 but on steroids. Only downwall is the rear shock, but that will be worked on VERY soon!

Yahamas are uncomfortable to me. Haven't looked into a newer Ninja but I do miss the hell out of my old ZX6R. Really hoping to pick up a 749S or 848 this summer.

Nice! Love the exhaust as well. I will say that I like Kawasaki more so then Yamaha, even though both make good bikes.

Agreed.

My first bike was a R6 but has been my only Yanaha. Since then I've had (in no particular order)
-Honda CBR
-RC51
-Shadow
-XR 200
-CRF 450R
-Ruckus

My Hondas have never let me down regardless of how hard I beat on them.

Honda bikes FTW

I got to ride an 1198 in florida. Pretty amazing bike, dry clutch is a bit awkward.

I'm a Yamaha lover...I absolutely hated the ride of every previous model ZX-10R. But the current model ZX-10 is NOTHING like it's predecessors. Not 1 bolt will interchange w/ the previous models. It feels and handles like my 2012 R6 trackbike. The powerband is all up top like my 08 R1 also. So I ride this bike the same way I ride my R1. The ZX-10R is just lighter and makes A LOT of top end hp! I am still a Yamaha fanatic! But as most people stated, it's splitting hairs when it comes to modern day sportbikes.

If you think Yamahas are uncomfortable DO NOT GET A DUCATI!! Seriously, they are worst when it comes to cramped seating position and ball roasting heat from the motor and exhaust. Worst bike to ride on it traffic. You become the BBQ!!

I have already had an '06 636. I like the look of the '07-'08 more.

Those bikes don't really have too many issues other than coilpacks going out. And you really can't watch out for that until they go.

Awesome. Yeah I have been riding it for a couple of weeks now. The previous owner put a PC3, TiForce full titanium system, Vortex rear sets, and a GPR stabilizer on it. I had to do a pressure switch for the rear sets and had to order a new taillight since the previous owner installed a fender eliminator kit and didn't reinstall the turn signals. Other than that, it's a fantastic bike. Can't understand why I doubted Yahama for so long lol.
