So after much demand from my last BBQ posting, I have decided to cook for you unwashed masses.

Here's the deal.

D3US3S is kind enough to be bringing enough venison to feed 10-ish people. If you want to come, bring a side dish/condiment/drink. Post on here if you're coming and what you're bringing so we don't end up with 15 potato salad dishes. 10 people is not the limit, but if we need more meat than that we need to know in advance. Now let's be real for a sec, IA folks have a bad habit of people saying their coming and then flake at the last minute or just no-show.

Not passing judgement, I'm just sayin'.

A.) you will never be invited again
B.) I will break both your legs at a time of my choosing.

The Toyota truck needs a new stater, so I may or may not be doing that in-between checking on meat... Haven't really decided yet. But, if I do and you help, free beer for you.

Gonna be at my house, so I'll PM the address to the folks that are coming when it gets close. But if you Mapquest Bethlehem... That's about 2.5 miles from my house, just so you have a good idea about the distance from I am from where you live.

I got 5 in my family. But one is a vegetarian and my boy won't eat anything unless it's pizza, chicken nuggets or doritos. So really just two adults and one child. I've got some chips and salsa, wife's gonna make up some fresh guacamole in the morning. Plus a couple bags of other chips depending on who wants to munch on what.

Plus some sirloin steak.

Oh, and I've some 36 Yeunglings chilling in the cooler... Well 34 now to be precise.

Deer is in brine. I will have me and my daughter and maybe a buddy from work. Bringing about 5 lbs of deer meat. 2 tenderloins and the rest is chunk/stew style meat. May throw that in the crock pot tonight. Not sure how that will fare in the smoker. Once it thawed I realized it was smaller chunks of meat. Either way it will blow our minds!

So I pulled the trigger and made a stew with about 2 lbs of deer. 95% of the ingredients came from my parents farm in Cleveland GA. This will be the best deer stew you have ever layed your tongue upon.
