I would like to know where you saw that the stock bottom end was forged. The word cast does not equal forged, so maybe you should read a little more often. The stock bottom will hold 360, with a good tune, which isn't possible with an afc.

Btw, car looks good Brooks. Hopefully I can get mine back up soon and we can have a little fun.

Lol my car is perfect with just safc and very reliable. What I meant was, stock internals of a sr are totally different then that of a gsr. I just rebuilt the motor, I'm sure ill be ok guy. Thanks for your concerns. Now if I was venturing past 450whp sure I'd build the bottom end. I've taken care of the srs main weak points. Hg, head studs, race bearings, s14 oil pick up, oil pump, rocker arm stoppers. I had it tuned by sammy so I'm sure its safe since ive never seen a car tuned by him blow up (bc of said tune).

Stock internals are forged last time I checked. Obviously strong enough to hold up on 360whp. A gsr deff couldn't make that kind of power (reliably) on a stock bottom end. I drive a coupe not a hatch, so you were kind of close.

He did I've spoken to him many times. He adjusted timing as well as fuel. The iacv was bad when I first got it other then that it was perfect. I'm still having it re tuned for piece of mind. Better safe then sorry. I'm cranking the boost up and getting power fc.

The AFC doesn't have the ability to adjust timing, nice try though. And a 2871 is useless past 20psi, so you can't crank too far. I would say about one more psi. I have a redtop power fc l-jetro I'd sell you, with commander.

Ever hear of a timing light? Lol I mean he did adjust the timing, but not as great as you would with a standalone of course. I know what a piggy back can and cant do.

I have a black top. I think the pfc for the black top was a little different, am I correct?

Should have been more specific and said ignition timing, which is just as, if not more, important as the fuel map. And from what I have seen, as long as the blacktop isn't a type x, from 96-98, then they are interchangeable. But it might require repinning or switching a couple wires.

Nicer? Pig nose is now wide body aero silvia front end, hacked wiring is now re done and shrink wrapped, motor fully rebuilt, engine bay painted, roll cage, new suspension ect ect. I don't know who told you that but their wrong. The car is 40x better then it was.

That's because the heat wrap that was on it before was gold. If that's the only flaw then I'm fine with that. Amd yes its a 9pt welded.

Heat reflective tape actually works on fmic piping, nothing is rattle canned at all? The turbo housing is wrinkle black. The roll cage is weld in not bolt in, sorry. Your attempts at jokes failed as soon as you wrote them down.

Your stock k series hatch isn't fucking with my sr from a roll. Maybe a dig. I know all about the swap and I'm familiar with how fast/quick they are. I used to shoot videos in one of the first ones ever done. If it isn't a k20/k24 build just leave it at home.

Your car is moving out Brooks, and definitely well put together. Having already had an SR with a 2871, you wouldn't have any trouble with his car.

But when it actually comes to stepping up and running, is nowhere to be found. When he had the RB26 S14, he was all over the place swearing it was the best shit since sliced bread, then we find out that it barely runs. My car made 356 whp with a wire issue now its fixed so it should make more especially with the hks step one cams I just bought off zilvia along with the pfc ill be ordering. All I need now is dual valve springs. Don't know what ill make until I do but should be more then 356whp and my car is 80% gutted. His car ia about as fast as a semi stock evo.

Idc to talk shit anymore. Everything I say will be twisted into something its not. Enjoy your easter sunday.

Actually real weld in cages are required to meet a different standard than bolt in...90% of bolt in cages are sold and marked as, more or less "for looks only" they will not pas any sort of real tech inspection. Post a pic of the cage

Not at my house or installed the od meets requirements so if welded would pass. Again, idc about your opinion nor did I ask of it. I'm not trying to become semi pro or pro. All of my friends have them and they have been fine. It will be plate welded with two more extra bars for support. The cage also helps with stiffing up the car which helps.

So where did you get the cage from? Not too many places selling them now days. And a cage is only as good as it's installed. You should throw up some pics of it.

So your car is going to be faster when you throw on some cams and get some parts you don't currently have. Uhh, no shit. Not at my house or installed the od meets requirements so if welded would pass. Again, idc about your opinion nor did I ask of it. I'm not trying to become semi pro or pro. All of my friends have them and they have been fine. It will be plate welded with two more extra bars for support. The cage also helps with stiffing up the car which helps.

ls1 (yes aluminum 5.7) short block $750
Heads, 241s $200
ls1 intake w/ tb $200
mount kit (if you buy it all brand new from sikky) $2750
if you go t56 $1500 and clutch for $350
ecu and harness (stock ls) $250
So you have around 6k plus a car and god knows you can find them cheap as shit and this total is with the full sikky swap kit that you could easily do for cheaper either buying used or piecing it together elsewhere....or you can just buy one done for right at 9k....hell you can find them cheaper now, its not that expensive of a swap anymore...you can go lm7 and do it a shit load cheaper and still make the same power.

It's more expensive to do v8 and still have wide body sil and my suspension. Just talked to like 5 other 240 members that said the same as me. It can be done for.9k but not correctly and most v8 240s go for.12k plus.

I've been in k swapped hatches but if its just bolt ons and not a high compression build or boosted it will not beat my car even if I sucked at driving. Before my last set of mods I was good for 11.8's (stock tires) for 122-124mph....I expect with my latest mods I should be able to improve on that quite a bit..with a slick I want 10's ...and I think I can see a 130 trap....fingers crossed...

How you would see me out is how I run the car at the track.. I pulled no weight, Full interior, All Glass, All Sheet metal..

Well he doesn't have a built h22 on boost he has a k hatch with bolt ons. He is relying on power to weight. Ive seen a few trq monster honda builds but not na.

Once you break 12s your no longer quick. That is a fast street car. My gt2871r ran a 12.3 on 16lbs at 117mph. That beat most cars I raced. Now if your wanting a roll race that's a power race. No skill required for that other than maybe brake boosting and fast shifting. Going from a dig is going to show the better driver. Which is why 90% of people want roll races.

If my car was 100% I would be on my way, but I'm doing body work, motor work myself and only have weekends to do all this work. Its been raining these past weekends. I'm 80% or more done. I need smaller tires (have them just need to be mounted) alignment (have to find a shop that does race/drift spec alignments) and tune by sammy tiger and his shop is full until next week. Not excuses just issues im having before the car is 100% done. After all that sure ill run you no problem long as its some where not sketch.

with my supporting modifications it's not setup for launching. As soon as I hit full boost my ass end kicks around. Even from a 40 roll my ass end will kick out. The gt2871r was made specifically for the sr. it's not my ability or lack of ability to drive it. It's just not setup In the rear for drag racing. I would spin threw 4th lol that's why I suggested the roll.

The car was driven for a yea r before rebuild. I raced quite a few people in that span of time. It may not be stupid fast but its deff quick for an sr with stock internals.

Its called suspension. Your the same dumb ass moron who said a ls1 can be done with 9k. Ive been researching all day. 4500 is the cheapest motor set I could find. Then you need to rebuild it, 240' s aren't cheap, neither is suspension, drive shaft, wiring, mounts, wheels, tires ect. 7K total just for motor and mounts and wiring. Idc if your friend could give you a ls1 for a bj and some gum. Being realistic a good ls1 240sx runs well over 12/15k to put it together.

My friend is runing 430whp on a stock bottom end. You obviously know nothing about sr's
