I was browsing Netflix and saw a movied called 200 MPH, I knew it'd be a F&F ripoff but they said it was about a guy who's brother died in a race against a ruthless drug lord, and seeks revenge by fixing up his old Datsun 280Z, so naturally I figured I'd suffer through it for the 280Z since I'm a HUGE Datsun Z fan.

Well the cars in it aren't bad really, the main character drives a white modded FC RX7 that looks really good, and his brother just bought a 370Z that looks nice. The drug lord drives a new GTR. Anyways, dude dies and his brother in the RX7 vows to avenge him by winning the black drug dealer's GTR and using that money to pay for his tuition into college.

Now for some of the terrible story parts:

The 2 brother's mom is a stripper.
The girl mechanic in the movie who runs the shop, refers to his FC RX7 twice as an MX-5.
The girl mechanic also mentions putting bigger turbos on the 370Z to match the GTR's speed, since when do 370s have twin turbos?
All the scenes where they're drifting the newly green painted RX7 after a bunch of mods, are computer generated and are actually of an S14 drifting around buildings.
Most of the scenes where they're drifting or racing, either real or computer generated, are recycled over and over.

And the worst story part of all, there is no damn Datsun 280Z at all! I knew it'd be terrible being put out by The Asylum, the mother of all bad new b-movie studios, but I chose to suffer through it for the hopped up 280Z, but there was none!

The only redeeming part of the movie, is the MEGA HOT girlfriend of the main character named Claudia who's a stripper with probably one of the nicest asses I have ever seen....ever.

That's not an F&F ripoff. Its a ripoff of an old 90s Hong Kong movie. Same story. Same characters.

So you've seen it too? I'm almost thinking of starting a support group so people can get the help they need coping with wasting that 90 minutes of their life.

Legend of Speed was the original and looked much better. I only had to watch the trailer for 200 and I knew what it was.

Lol I skipped through it. In the beginning of the movie, dont they say the "280" is an 11 second car out if the box? I also thought it was hyterical when the rx magically changed into a 240sx while drifting.

Then the cgi helicopter flies through a tunnel with complete disregard for his own life. Actually made me give the fnf serious some extra props.

You would think making a movie like that, especially since it would inevitably attract tuners, they'd maybe do the slightest bit of research before spewing the shit they did.

If I remember right (no guarantee), the RX-7 was stolen during filming. Hence the 240 stand-in.

Well it isn't really a stand in when the 240SX drift scenes are CGI, they could have at least CGI'ed an RX7 racing lol

Sounds awesome, if the Fast and the Furious franchise still made movies as fabulously stupid as the first, I'd still go see them.

Nobody wants to see stupid ricers saying the correct things but being stupid. I want full retard.

2fast2furious and Tokyo drift pushed the boundaries of acceptable retardation.

After reading that, I badly want to see it hahhaha

One of the biggest complaints about this film, being that its a film aimed at car enthusiasts, is the extremely poor continuity. At one point in the film a car changes make and model with no given explanation and is treated as if it is the same car, all the while being called the name of a third car (The car changes from FC Chassis Mazda RX-7 to a Nissan 240sx during fast scenes). The car is also referred to as a MX-5, which is a Mazda Miata trim

Tale of Rate was the unique and seemed much better. I only had to look at the movie trailer for 200 and I realized what it was . . . . . . . . . . . .
