H22a trouble

Hey guys need help here please
i have an h22a swap and earlier this week the cv axle busted
I replaced it but now the trans is throwing it back oout you think I need another trans or just try and fix existing trans just not really sure why it's doing tthat any help is appreciated thanks in advance

Is the snap ring at the end still on?

Not sure was installed by someone else should it be on right?

There should be a c clip on end, however I have seen excessive play in differentials toss them out..
