Okay, I know there is roadatlanta in Brasleton and it is a great course. But when is it open to the public? and how much does it cost? I've heard that you have to have somekind of membership to get in. Is it true?

Road Atlanta is open for spectating for events only.
Here is a link to their schedule.

They do not usually allow people in for test days unless you are part of a crew or RA staff.

As far as driving on the track(race, or for fun) you can go through Road Atlanta's Panoz Racing School, they hold schools to get race liscenses and also track days just for fun.
There are a lot of other clubs that hold schools where you can learn to road race such as NASA(http://www.nasaproracing.com/)(http://www.nasa-southeast.com/) or BMW club.

Prices for spectating events vary from 10 bucks to SCCA Regionals to approx. 75 for the Petit Le Mans.

my father has done track days and for christmas I got track days, i just have to pick the weekend I want to go. I believe, if you go to roadatlanta.com, just search around. it is in there somewhere. Its in the WAYYYY back. lol. track days costs around 350 bucks for the weekend.

When you first sign up, you have to join the T or C group first. This group jusst plays lead/follow. There is no passing in this group. The next time you come back to Road Atlanta, you are able to join A and B groups. These groups do not have an Audi pace car to slow you down. A and B groups can pass, but only in straights. it is really exciting, and usually some1 goes home on a flatbed.
