Im running a ATI Radeon X700Pro video card, and there is an integrated X200 card on the motherboard. Im wanting to run two monitors on my system and was curious as to how I can do that. Im using XP PRO if that helps.

I heard from someone that you could.

it can be done, and xp pro has the software to do so. I work on atm's, and they use two video cards on our through-the-wall atms. the cards are digital.not sure of the brand of card, but if you want I can find out.

Would that be the same picture on both screens or two different pictures on both screens?

Like on Swordfish how he had like 4 different monitors operating off of one system. All showed different pictures but were deffinately on the same system. I want that.

With OS X i had at work it was just like having a bigger monitor. You setup where the 2 were positioned in relation to each other and if you dragged the window off the side of one monitor it appeared on the other. It was pretty helpful to have the extra space. I would imagine XP does the same...

with xp pro you don't need anything but an extra video card, or a dual monitor card. You can either have two screens showing the same thing, or extend the desktop.

I just started my dual monitor setup this week and I love it. Some much multitasking!!!
Try this
Right click on your background
Select Properties
Go to the last tab labeled settings.
Now mine autodetected my other moniter and I just selected my secondary and there is alittle box that says "Extend my Windows Desktop blah blah bah"
Click that box and you should be set

i dont think you can do it using an onboard and a agp card.. usually you gotta have a dual head AGP card. i do it on my laptop also.
