I'm not trying to thread-crap, but what exactly does someone do with a $6,000 car and no title? You can't legally drive it in Georgia, so do you just keep it as modern art in your garage? :)

^ There's plenty of ways around that.

Im sorry but you sir are an idiot, and obviously broke. This is a great deal for a very rare car in the US. Anything can be legal for the right price and a little ingenuity.

I may be slightly ignorant, but I'm not broke. ;) I'm seriously shopping for a new car, and not just window shopping. In Georgia, every car newer than 1986 has to have a title in order to be registered. What loophole do you know of for getting this JDM, title-less car legal in Georgia? How much would that cost? In addition how much would it cost to repair this car back to daily driver condition? Maybe you could help this "idiot" out, lol?

research my fren, idk if they are still doing the kit car thing or if you know someone in Florida, they seem to have less requirements to register cars straight from Japan, there are a bunch of cars there straight from Japan, that's as much as i know tho...

theres no way to make it FEDERAL compliant, but you can state title it illegally. Basically buy a wrecked DEL SOL and swap the vin numbers and get someone to pass it illegally through emissions, its pretty simple

Ah so it's as simple as breaking federal and state law. :D That's not exactly worth it for me. I do really appreciate your answer though, seriously. However, famous_atticus owes me an apology; let's see if he is honorable enough to offer one...

You want me to apologize for you not know how to do something? Ok.... Obviously the car is not for someone like you so instead of dragging this out I apologize for posting on the thread off topic. Good luck finding a car. You should check out carmax.com they have some great deals on Federally legal cars...lol.

Yes, but i think his point was you should be educated on what you are buying. You should know that any RHD car inside the united states that is not over 25 years old is ILLEGAL unless its a MOTOREX Skyline that has been grand fathered in or a 1996 OBD2 compliant Skyline GTR(which doesnt exist).

If you are looking for a federally legal Japanese car your budget is around $60-100K, and you wouldnt be looking at a honda beat

thats all

There are a lot of registered rhd Honda's in the U.S. and are titled. How they are registered is a different story. It's not even worth their trouble to go after such cars. Hell taking the firewall out and putting it in something else makes it legal. In the case of this beat that wouldn't be possible. Speeding a few miles over the speed limit doesn't make you feel bad does it? Why should VIN swapping when there's no other way around it. Besides, the Government is just a bunch of dicks anyways.
