View Full Version : The best concealed carry.... state your opinion.

To counter all of these negative gun posts lately with bleeding heart liberals crying out of their vaginas about violence, even though its the cities that are predominantly liberal that all have the highest crime rates, i want to start a thread celebrating our wonderful gun culture here in america. So let the debate begin.....

What is the BEST **********************CONCEALED******************* ******** carry......

Present your argument.

Here's my carry of choice. Smith and Wesson M&P Shield, fits in your hand like a C cup titty. It's less than an inch thick and only weighs 19 ounces so it's nice and comfortable to carry. holds 8+1 in 9mm or 40

Easy. Italian-made Bernardelli-Gardone 22 long-brev auto - a true "concealed carry". As far as I know, it's the smallest .22 ever made.

there's smaller guns..... but those are too small imo, plus you're giving up a lot of stopping power for size

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e188/billythekid310/photo-23.jpg

My argument is because I am the most accurate with it out of all of my guns.

Those arn't the rounds I carry though. I use hornady critical defense

I carry a Gen4 Glock 19 and love it. I used to carry a RIA1911 in 45acp but i def prefer the Glock for weight and size. I carry in either a Uncle mikes leather or Black hawk Kydex, and usually carry one extra mag depending on where I am. I feel a 9mm with a P++ hollow point should dis-sway any would be attacker at least after the first few rounds, plus its ultra light and easy from someone my size to carry ( 5' 3" 135lbs).

Usually I carry my S&W 457 (.45), even though it's technically a "compact" gun (hardy-har-har) it's a big pistol. But Ima big guy. I can hide a full size "assault" rifle in my belly button alone. So no biggie.

Lately I've been carrying my S&W 5906T (9mm) a lot. Not really sure why I changed myself, other than maybe the extra 8 bullets give me piece of mind I guess...

I love my BERSA it has never given me issues and is very reliable. The only complaint I ever herd was with the feed getting stuck in rapid fire. They discovered if you polish it down a little its a fix. I was really surprised with the accuracy and lack of recoil easy to carry and use. I just wish they had a larger Clip size considering most 9mm have larger :/ PS: mine is a OG model made and imported from Argentina so its the most reliable compared to the NJ made ones today.

i like that little revolver.

It was my mom's from the early 80s made by RG Industries. You can pick them up for literally 50 bucks today. I also have my grandmother's gun. I don't know much about it but its a .25 auto and no idea what year it's from. I've been fiddling with it to try and get it reliable but haven't figured out the problem. It has problems with FTE. I should probably try a recoil spring but have followed through.

Once reliable I think it would be a neat BUG.

I'm gonna go to the next gun show hunting a bunch of misc pocket guns. Missed the last few that were in the area. I'd gladly give you $50 for that revolver.

I inherited a box that had about 20-25 pocket guns in it, some good some junk, ended up selling it as a lot. Wish i would have held on to them. Only thing i kept out of the box was a COP derringer, ended up selling that later on though.

I was stating that you can pick up that same revolver at a gun show for $50 bucks. I'm not sure if that was confusing. Pocket pistols, to me, are fun to try to get them to work reliably. As you said a bunch of them are junk. Derringer's just make me nervous with no trigger guard.

My every day carry is a Ruger LCP. I am accurate with it out to about 10 yards. It is quick to draw because of no sharp angles and it it is easy to conceal. I have found myself carrying my G23 gen 3 a lot more lately though. Seems like crime is getting out of hand and I like to have the extra firepower on me.

Off topic a bit, I am looking for a new rifle/range toy. My requirements are simple. I want a rifle, even a bull pup rifle, that is accurate out to about 100 yards. It has to fire a pistol caliber round though. Right now I am thinking about an auto ordinance Thompson or a Vector. Any other ideas? BTW, MP5's are too damn expensive if any caliber other than .22lr. Trying to stay under 1k, but I would go as high as 2k for an NFA rifle.

i love me a 1911, but do you really want to carry one all the time? especially if its a nice pretty one.

The FN is a polymer. The prices on them are insane right now.... over $3k online. I remember it being like a $900-1200 gun. I guess it falls under the ObamaTax too since the "gobberment" doesnt like the 5.7 rounds.

I've been carrying my RIA for a year to a year and a half. It's not top of the line 1911 but it's reliable and I've done some work/had some work done to it. Just to "boost" the quality. Actually now that I think about it I have shot the FNH .40 cal. One of my friends bought a used one. I remember I liked the way the trigger felt on my finger, more form fitting I guess. Just the weight messes with my accuracy but that is yet again my problem being so "1911 oriented".

For me, my Glocks have never misfired ever. I've shot thousands of rounds through both of them. I like the lightness and durability the brand offers; moreover, they fit nicely in my hand. As with anyone, a handgun should be chosen mainly for how it fits in your hand. Comfort usually means better accuracy, and it only takes A bullet to kill someone.

I like S&W and it was my first my first handgun and concealed carry when I was 18. Jammed a few times, but I liked it, and it was a .38.

Para Ordinance carry .45 ACP or the P-10 are sweet CW; however, they're heavy when compared to most.

Beretta anything less than .32 is a good choice as well.

Glock performance is unquestionable. Speaking solely on the ergonomics.

I love glocks.. But, would not own any 4gen Glock.. Not sure what they were thinking as far as quality. My gen 3 - G17 shoots like a wet dream.. Only mod, 3lbs trigger.. Actually went shooting today.. Love that thing.

I carry the Springfield XDs. I use to EDC my Springfield XD40. I really likes it, and I loved everything about it. When they released the XDs, I got lucky and picked one up for less that $500 total when they first came out. I like how slim it is, and it comfortably fits anywhere. I have not found a great holster for it yet, I'm currently using an Uncle Mikes with it, but it sometimes snags on the cloth is you don't pull it out right.

The only bad thing about it is it only holds 5+1. But I guess thats not terrible.

Just curious where does everybody carry at? My 1911 sits right at 8:45 o'clock and my BUG .22 revolver pictured in this thread is either of my pockets (I believe the importance of being able to shoot with either hand is essential. However I still choose to have my primary on my "dominant" side) in it's pocket holster or on my ankle. Rarely, I hate it being on my ankle.

So I am going to buy a gun today. Something kinda comparable to the Tommy gun I have been looking at but a lot different.

Pics in a few hours . . . . .

I looked at them but at the end I decided to stick with the stock EOTech.

Ended up getting a Kriss Vector tactical.

Cant wait to shoot it. If it wasnt for the timing of it, I would have gotten the SBR version. Oh well, maybe later in the year I will send it back and get them to remove the shroud and get it registered.
