I sense a lot of conservative heads exploding after this one.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/01/29/georgia-man-guns-down-immigrant-after-gps-sends-him-to-wrong-driveway/

TL;DR: Cuban kids pull into veterans driveway, veteran blows one kids head off while they try to turn around.

Sinfix, whatchu think?

It's pretty simple. IF the story turns out exactly like this initial report, then the old man broke the law. You cannot kill or injure someone (of any race or immigration status) just for coming onto your property - with any type of weapon. Our existing laws cover this scenario well. The police obviously had enough evidence to charge him with malice murder.

I'd like to see more details on the story however it is sad in any case. Human error is a factor that will never be taken out of the equation. Also in the other thread I stated there are people that legally own firearms but shouldn't. How do you fix it so good people can defend themselves and limit everybody else with bad intentions?

I don't see why conservative heads would explode. I don't see them saying guns are never used for immoral or malicious purposes.

What exactly is ironic about a gun used in a crime? More exactly, someone shooting first and asking questions later.

Shit happens. I would have walked out, asked them if they were lost and assisted them in finding their destination. None of my guns would have jumped out of their cases and maliciously murdered anyone, you know why? because they only do what i command them to do and i'm not a criminal. Safety is an illusion, it's a dangerous world we live in and no law short of restricting everyone to stay home inside of a padded room will ever change that. That old man will spend the rest of his days in prison. Hopefully his story will be a cautionary tale to other gun owners and used for gun education and instructing people on how to deal with situations such as that. It's your political party that makes talking about guns such a taboo issue. Your party demonizes gun owners and perpetuates racial tension. Talking about responsible gun ownership should be a perfectly normal thing in america, like trading apple pie recipes..... but because of you and people like you, it's not.

90,000 people die a year from medical malpractice. Do you think Obamacare is going to increase or decrease that number?

Obamacare won't change that number. All my doctors are personally for it.

This thread is pretty stupid though, I don't get it.

You should probably seek new doctors.

Yeah I should find some that share your opinions, because my doctor's opinions really matter to me most.

I'm sorry, what's my political party again?

Where's the outcry for Cuban immigrants to be armed? Where's the rhetorical "the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"?

I wasn't aware there was a law stopping immigrants from owning guns.
