Hopsin basically dissed everyone, but MGK did go in too. I vote for Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, SwizZz, and Futuristic for XXL 2013

Lil B actually did better than Future in his cypher, just sayin

I didn't even watch the video. I saw the still frame from what the video looked like and said, "That's enough". I don't know much about old school but I like Eazy-E and 2 Live Crew way better than anything since early 2000s.

Roscoe went to my school. That dude is so fruity.

Kells pretty much murdered them all. Hop spin was pretty good though. The other dudes should stick to MySpace music.

While I disagree and think Hopsin absolutely murdered it, MGK wasn't bad.. I'm biased though because I can't stand MGK.

Also, Hopsin seems to be one of the few with any true lyrical content anymore:

Lolol. For real. Good hip hop/rap really faded after the mid 1990s.

not necessarily.. like any other music or art form for that matter, it's evolved. It just takes some searching to find the stuff that isn't absolute garbage.

not necessarily..

That's all a matter of opinion. It all sounds terrible. I expect younger folks to think this is good because this is what they're hearing on the radio growing up. So I can't knock what you guys consider good.

But I don't just feel that way about rap/hip hop. I think rock/pop music has gone downhill as well. I'm just an older dude living in the past and I'm content with that, lolol.

I get it. I personally hate radio rap, so I stick more with underground artists. I'm also a fan of the older music, from artists like: Tupac, Biggie, Eazy E, NWA, Bone Thugs all the way back to some of the stuff like Grandmaster flash. Generation to generation it changes, not exactly for the worst, but as far as it's gotten today is definitely not for the better. It's gone from positive messages, to gang related violence (still with an underlying message), to mumbling off nursery rhyme like bullshit.

Almost every new mainstream rapper blows, especially if they're from Atlanta.

If you guys out in some early 90's groups into your Pandora, you'll hear some awesome songs with mind blowing lyrics.

I literally stopped that wack video at about the 2:00 mark. If you have to look at the lyrics of Boyz N The Hood, then your "take" on the subject really can't be taken too seriously.

As for rock... I only like late 60s/early 70s and early 90s and 00s. Glam rock is the worst. Fuck hair metal.

I listen to everything from the 50s to the 80s and that's it. Including your hair bands!

I can stand Whitesnake. As for the 50s I can dig Sam Cooke, most of the "and the" bands, and Fatz Domino. Recently I've been listening to fleetwood though.
