Because sadly, some people actually don't care about offset at all, I believe. Though the fact that the person is into cars, makes me wonder what the hell they were thinking. I've seen so many cars on the road that have aftermarket wheels, but are so low offset, you could fit your fist between the tire and the outer lip of the fender.
