Bought this car in 2006 and never really liked at the (so far) before and after of it until just now. All the changes. This is the first car I really put some sort of time and effort into.

Don't mind me. Just being selfish.

Just out of curiosity how much is a car like yours worth being that it is a classic?

These civics aren't considered classics in the same fashion a shelby gt500 mustang is, so probably not much. But it does look a lot better now than before.

you'd be surprised. Sometimes weirdos on ebay will pay crazy amounts for the nostalgia factor of their first cars/etc in immaculate condition.

Thanks, to all with compliments!!!

Like RL said, this car is on a different level of classic than your average classic car. And that would be a lower level at that. In fact, I really don't know if I'd call it a classic, per say. This car would be more known as a nostalgic car or old school. A lot of people refer to them as Japanese classics. In the grand scheme of things, these cars aren't really sought after like your old Chevys and Fords. And in ranking Honda, Datsun and Toyota, Honda comes in last in not only being sought after, but also after market presence.

My car, though, I don't think I could get close to what i have in it. And even when I'm done with it, I may not get much more than what I could get now. I'm still about twelve hundred dollars away from being done. They just don't command that much money. Lucky for me, I have no plans on selling this car. I have fun driving it and enjoy keeping a car on the road that you rarely ever see on the road.

Thanks, folks!

OHF, I have a few interior shots, but since the seats are still shot, I don't really take good pics. All I have are of the dash. Below is the before/after of that:

Is the dash missing the knee panel or just need to tuck up those wires?

There is no knee panel. The wires need to be tucked in and (probably) zip tied to something. Haven't done it yet as I am still working on getting the radio and speakers all rewired.

Thought you would have already had all that wired up. Been a few months since you started hasn't it?

Yessir. Mine was more financial and health, but it's all getting back to gravy. I could probably do this myself, but the health side of it may not allow it so I'll let the stereo folks do it for me.

I am having my Sirius unit hardwired into the back of the factory AM/FM so as to keep the stock look and I can still listen to what I want. That's the main part, also, why I want the stereo guys to do it.

Added this to the post, lolol. I also still need to get my replacement speakers. I'm making full effort to get those by the end of the month.

Still not that hard. Have a wiring diagram of the factory unit?

quickdodgeŽ

If memory serves correctly, there are only three wires on the back of the radio. Power, ground and speaker. This car originally came with one factory speaker. Fortunately, my car came with quite rare rear pocket speakers so I'll need to run the wires back for them. I will have a three speaker set up, lolol.

Give me an hour and I will run out in the garage and look again to make sure my memory is correct.

Hmm....interesting.

Yep.

Ok, I got the radio wiring. I have four wires, red, yellow, blue and gray. Red and yellow are for power and lighting and the blue and gray wires are for speakers.

Looks good and clean. Interesting little car and great restorative work you are doing. Truth be told, I'd never seen one of these before you got yours.

Always liked this civic...
Just happen to see this on Criagslist - Not saying that's the value of your car but just thought i would post it for someone that might see yours and say "WOW... I have to have one" Great price on a 80'civic (not my car just saw it out there and posting) $800 not a bad deal. If i didn't have a daily i would pick it up lol

80 Civic, 4 sale or trade (http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/3519886322.html)

Thank you, dude. I try to get it to meets because of a lot of people not seeing these.

Yeah, that car is in rough shape, too. Not saying mine is perfect, but this one is pretty much where mine started. I paid $100 for mine, lolol.
