hey everyone I found this guy on the side of the road and have had him for 2 weeks now. he is all black except his chest and chin which is white. he also has a white stripe on his nose. we found him on windy hill and powers ferry rd. he had a harness and leash but the leash had been chewed through. no tags. He is under a year old but not really a puppy either. He is already house broken! It appears he has either been attacked at one time or fought. there are scars on his neck and back legs. His tail is also broken in two places. BY NO MEANS IS HE DISFIGURED. PLEASE GIVE ME A PM IF YOU INTERESTED I CANNOT KEEP HIM. As much as I want him because he is such a sweetheart and practically smothers you with affection. I live in a 1 bed apt. and already have 2 dogs and 2 cats. so 1 more 40 lbs dog is not really feasible. again please give him a good home I will interview before releasing him to a new owner. I will try to get a pic up here soon. THANKS!

poor thing! kudos to you for saving him. word of advice tho - you may want to take him to the vet or the pound to have an aggression test done, just in case. i don't think they charge, but it's a good way of knowing if the dog has any problems with kids, food, etc. especially seeing how he may have been fought (disgusting, btw - if they find those people they should be shot).
i hope he finds a really good home!

thanks everyone for the help. I'll get some digital pics tonite and have them on here tomorrow.
BTW luvleexcivic how do you plan on doing that? and I don't really think aggression is a problem like I said I have 2 other dogs that are a Boxer mix and a pomeranian. not to mention the 2 cats, one is 5 and the other is 5 months. no problems yet and actually my boxer is aggressive towards te pit. (we have been calling him Scooter)

Normally what they'll do is feed him and have a prosthetic hand go and touch him, try and take the food, etc - to see about any food aggression. They have other tests they do to find about cats, children, etc. . without actually putting anyone in danger. It's just a suggestion, but it might be a good idea considering his breed and his past history, since I doubt the people who had him took care of him or trained him like good pet owners should.

if he aint even barking or showing any kind of aggressive towards your dog then its okay just never trust a dog that is grown already .. because they can just turn at any time ..

I had givien him to the humace society today. about 15 minutes later I called them and had them bring him back. I couldn't do it, I felt soooo bad and he was soooo scared when they took him. I felt like I was condemming him to death and I had to get him back. So they brought him back and I am still looking for a home for him. PLEASE SOMEONE!!!! he is such a baby and I just can't have him. We have had some incidents with him and I would like to find a home without any smaller pets.
