PLEASE, don't make an agreement with me and then change your mind the next day.
ESPECIALLY when it comes to cars.
i take things like this very seriously, because its a passion to me, when it comes to trading, I do my best to try and explain what i have for trade, and what it need, if it needed anything at all. and 99% of the time, I will either throw in cash to pay for what it needs, or i buy what it needs and add it to it, and another thing, I always add things to make the "trader" happy about what they are receiving, with no hidden crap.

for example,
my car needs motor mounts,(they hold fine,, just makes the car shake with cold starts, )and a tune and small things like a window switch.
so I bought the motor mounts, for the car, I bought an ecu, had it socketed, and chipped, so it can get tuned, don't get me wrong, the car runs perfectly fine, i just want it to be perfect. but that's around 400$ out of pocket so the person receiving the car wont have issues., 250 for mounts, 100 or ecu, 80 to get it socketed and chipped.

and was also going to give cash to get the emissions done. and throw in a set of wheels, enkei rpf1's for free. (which has over a 600$ or so value)

so a bone stock car, with great suspension, and amazing paint, for mine. I was thrilled and when I find something i Truly want, i do my hardest to get it. i fell in love with it!

but back to topic, after willing to trade my car, pay for the emissions, add motor mounts, a chipped ecu, brand new wheels, and throw in an extra set of seats, because i don't ave room for them, I was stoked, i was going to get the car I wanted for so long, even if I was going to be taking a loss, it did not bother me because I know i would have been happy with it.
then it all turns around with a, i think ill keep my car. crushed me, I was willing to do so much for it, and I get turned down :[, not only did it waste my time, but took so much joy away.

moral is, people put a lot of thought and effort to obtain something they truly want, even if I do know its uneven trade, i found it worth it, and it also makes me happy to do things for others, which more than enough that people know about!

so long story short, I WANT THAT FUCKING EK COUPE! lol

If you want drum rear brakes and some of Honda's most uncomfortable seats of the 90's, I'll trade you for your Integra stuff.

Otherwise, I can't see the point in trading.
Although, the point of the thread is totally different and I feel you on what you're saying 100%.

Your teg looks better

Sir_Christopher
12-23-2012, 09:54 AM
The Teg needs some work. But I suppose I might as well keep working on it, it was built from the ground up, just really needs small thinks now. Like a tune and some body work and paint! I could sell I'm meshies with new tires and get tires for the rpf1's. that would make more fresh looking

if it makes you feel better they are the same car, yours is the "upgraded" version of it, stop playing, get all that crap worked out with your teg, and get it looking right, you already have the front end than, that's one of the major hurdles with integras, after that it's a piece of cake, i think he is an idiot for not going for it, i thought you were talking about a freaking G35 or something along those lines when i started reading this lol

Sir_Christopher
12-24-2012, 01:39 AM
Hahaha! I got you! And I'll have money after I get through Christmas! I just really need time now due to the fact I work 70-80 hours a week!

I really need to put my mounts in, and get the tune done. And I'll get the paint and body work done with tax return!

Bro learn this quick

NEVER get overly excited and emotionally engaged for something until you get it. Especially if you're trading with someone. People are flaky, and will back out last second (even for something as small as you're trading your peppermints for their pack of gum).

And plus shit just happens

Elbow
12-24-2012, 08:53 AM
Exactly, never get excited until it's over. That goes for anything whether it's trading a car or something else.

Although you sound very passionate about this trade and it's just for a Civic? Save up some more and just build one yourself or something. lol

i get what y'all are saying, i just get so engulfed in anticipation and joy, and I don't think about people being inconsiderate and declining after making a deal.

and yea, i did have plans for it, the main fact i wanted it was because it was super clean and had full suspension, i already had a swap in the works, and a few other parts. just counting my chickens before the eggs are even laid lol

i appreciate everyones input, and I am going to stick with my integra and just keep building, she is about to be put in the garage for a while and go through some things, like a new swap, and brand new suspension, and a few interior parts

Consider it a blessing though. that civic would have been a downgrade.

Never get excited beforehand. That's how I lost the best Integra I've ever had for a horribly built CRX. I had to drive down to Columbus for it, got back and it definitely wasn't what I was told it was. Then the d-bag decided the trade was complete once he realized he got me, and I was stuck with something that gave me problems every single day I owned it.

I'm discouraged about my GSR sedan right now. It's given me nothing but problems since I bought it earlier this year. I was about to sell it, but I realized I need to not be mad at it and keep going. Afterall, it's better than starting over with a whole new set of problems you didn't know about!

I know how that goes! and Ive came to the conclusion that its always better to fix a problem then push it onto someone else! and being 100% honest is key when it comes to trading, i hate being lied to about something when I give my all! shady folks can go kick rock and suck some dudes dick!

but whats up with your gsr?
