Looking for a new clutch and need a recommendation. Integra type R- transmission. ~220whp. Currently have a competition stage 2 in there that is slipping badly. Thinking maybe CC stage 4 or 5.. anyone have experience with these?

I stay with Exedy or Competition Clutch's so my opinion will be biased lol. For the amount of horsepower you have, I wouldn't say you would need more than a stage 3 if that. Is you're clutch you have now sprung or unsprung? I really don't know why it would be slipping already unless it's been in there for a looong time that and/or you or someone else has rode the piss out of it or launched every time while taking off. I've heard of stage one clutch's holding 250whp..

thanks! the one in there currently is sprung. its been in for about ~3ish years. might be worn out, but it hasnt started slipping until recently when i just got my new tune. I'll be ordering the competition clutch stg 4 most likely. :)

That would be the reason lol. I put a stage one in my civic (d16y7) right before I sold it. When I sold the car, it had over 300k on it and last time I saw it a few months ago, it was about to hit 500k and still going strong.

you tried calling clutch exchange?

Dude's been in business for a milennium, and says his clutches can hold up to anything you can throw at them
