find out what MOBO you have and see if it will fit. Depends what your board can support.

$250 is prob a better price, its $290 New from a retailer on Amazon.com

I believe the AMD Boards dont accept the Intel Chip sets. But i could be wrong. Hardware isnt my main strength.

I believe you want to look at AM3+ Processors

Amd and Intel use completely different architectures. An amd motherboard will not fit anything from Intel.
