I was wondering if it is possible to pass henry county emissions with a defouler in the cat. I am looking into getting an ep3, but I want to be sure of this before buying the car and buying a new cat if it is unnecessary. The cel the car is throwing is p0420. Thank you in advance for any input.

I've done it. You are referring to using a sparkplug nonfouler before the o2 sensor, correct? It puts more space between the o2 sensor and the airstream to reduce the amount of air/carbon that the sensor reads.

Thank you for the responses. I also found a video on you tube that tells you exactly how to do it.

You can do that, but kpro is the option most of us use on the k20. You can disable the o2 CEL in kmanager.

agreed.

Update, I did the homemade cat-defouler and the car passed emissions perfectly. I will be getting kpro eventually, but I needed the car registered before I went back to school. Thank you all for the help!
