I am selling my 2002 Lexus IS300. The car is mechanically perfect and has no major exterior or interior defects. I have kept the car well maintained with oil changes every 3000 miles, new catalytic converter, new 02 sensors, and a new valve cover gasket. I have owned the car for 3 years and it has given me zero problems. I was backed into twice in parking lots on both rear quarter panels. Because of this, the paint has been blended in twice and is not a perfect match. You can't see the difference from 25' but up close you may slightly notice it as with most repaired vehicles. I love the car but do not need 2 vehicles right now.

The Bad: I bought the car 3 years ago with approximately 65,000 miles. It had the rebuilt title when I bought it but I did not notice (dumb move on my part). I understand that this will scare some people off but I have had no problems with the car do not expect the car to have any problems in the future. I encourage potential buyers to come drive the car to feel the ride, tracking, and tightness of the car.

The price is low because of the rebuilt title or else I would ask more. Please feel free to make a reasonable offer on the car. I am ready to sell it.

Interior pictures like seat wear, the trim on the dash above the glovebox. Do you have any pictures of the damage from when you were backed into? Leather or suade seats? Heated seats? Still have the factory keys with keyless entry? Does the cd player still work? Any weird tire wear? Sorry I have owned a few IS before.

A few more interior pictures are attached to this post. The tires are a stock size and nothing fancy but have very low miles. The seats are are the black leather/alacantra combo. The car has an aftermarked CD player that works and sounds pretty good. The dash kit for the CD player is broken and looks kinda trashy but the CD player works fine and doesnt move or rattle. I have replaced the stock speakers with Hertz component speakers (you can see the orange speaker cone in the door photo). There is a small hole in the drivers side rear seat but no other rips or tears.

What is the reason for the rebuilt title?

means was totaled or stolen at one point in time.

I don't know why it has a rebuilt title. When I bought the car I missed the "*rebuilt" on the title. Luckily, I did not have any problems with the car in the 60,000+ miles i put on it. Let me be clear. There are definately cleaner IS300's out there but you would be hard pressed to find one with 128,XXX miles for my asking price.

A rebuilt title dont necessarily means the car isnt worth as much as a clean title, sometimes insurance company's totaled a car for stupid stuff like vandalized interiors, or a fender bender that pops the sooo sensitive air bag!

bad thing about rebuilt/salvage titles, you cant always get full coverage...sort of like the situation w/ my integra.
