So basically the citizens of the interwebs were using this fact-checking site live during many public debates/speeches
Link: PolitiFact | How to get the facts during the presidential debate (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2012/oct/02/how-get-facts-presidential-debate/)
The funny thing is what the various media outlets had to say about it:
Traditional broadcast media: "Romney won!!!!!"
Social media: "Romney lied like a rug on every major topic he addressed, and here's documentation."
Link:Daily Kos: Traditional & Social Media Collide Over Obama/Romney Debate (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/10/04/1140384/-Traditional-Social-Media-Collide-Over-Obama-Romney-Debate)
I find it funny, didn't check into the individual "smoking gun, pants on fire" lies, but surely one of you politics folks can shed some insight.
