I buy her a 08 VW Rabbit, only 46,000 miles it drives nice!
God i hate VW's for no apparent reason, i hope it last and be a reliable car for her, i hope i hope i hope!

Stay on top of Maintenance, it's not cheap. The older jettas has big issues with auto transmissions. Pretty sure they are much better now.

that 5 cylinder is pretty reliable. your daughter shouldn't have any problems with it except maybe the altenator. my jetta with the same motor had a bad altenator at 60k miles. was told by mechanic that its somewhat common.
