Want to convert my H1 fogs/DRLs to HID...

Figured this would be a good place to ask this.

I'm about to replace my tired OEM foglight housing with some new yellow glass ones. I want that insange GT-class amber color. Should I use a 3k bulb with the yellow glass or just a 5-6k bulb?? I was thinking about getting some lightly smoked glass housings and getting 3k HIDs, but I have yet to see a clear lens that gives off the vibrant yellow/amber that I am looking for. How yellow would a yellow glass + 3k HID setup be?

From what I've seen of 3k HID bulbs, they tend to give a greenish hue instead of a piercing yellow effect that you're striving for. I have a set of Hella 2K HID bulbs that I tried out in the Evo (keep in mind that they were used in an HID projector housing) but wasn't all that impressive.
