Rocksmith plays like guitar hero, but with a real guitar. It also guides you thru tuning your guitar and prompts you to tune your guitar anytime it's out of tune. You have an instructor that talks you thru everything and moves fast or slow depending on how fast or accurate you do the steps. It's more of a guitar teacher than it is a game. very helpful for learning to play guitar. If you already know how to play guitar, then it would teach you how to play these songs.

It took me from being absolutely clueless with a guitar to being able to play a few songs and understanding how to read music. It will teach you how to play guitar. its amazing how it knows where your fingers are, but anywhere you put your fingers on your guitar, no matter what guitar youre using, the game sees it and it lights up on the screen, if your fingers are 1 inch off the key, it notices it and corrects you.
