This past weekend the Forged Performance Motorsports Team traveled to Savannah, Georgia for a weekend on Roebling Road Raceway with our friends at Flat Out Motorsports. As always the guys over at FOM were a class act that produced two days of perfectly organized track time for some of the Southeast's quickest high end vehicles. Cars from Lamborghini, Porsche, Nissan, and many others were in attendance with drivers with all skill levels participating. With only 43 cars and 4 run groups everyone was able to see more than enough track time to satisfy their desire to go flat out. We would like to take the time to thank the entire FOM Crew for the time and effort it took to make this event possible, please make sure to check them out and give their Facebook page a like to keep up to date with future events: FLAT OUT MOTORSPORTS FACEBOOK PAGE (https://www.facebook.com/FlatOutMotorsport)

Thank you, oh yessss...there were quite a few cars that made me weak at the knees as they pass by WOT on the front straight.

Oh yes! There were two grey SL's there, one an UGR car and one bolt-ons....both were SICK! The Evo was the baddest Evo I've.....yeah, ever seen. Pure business.

It was modified with coilovers, pads, and tires. It had a VERY experienced driver and was running down and passing most the GT-R's and Porsches.

I don't want to doubt you, but I would think a nub in a gtr could outrun a frs/brz. Ive read that even novices can push a gtr effectively to its limits because of its advanced tech and awesomeness.

You still have to have the balls to do it though.

Roebling Road is not the best track for GT-R's, a really good driver in a properly set-up car like ours can out run GT-R's. Now if the same drivers and cars were on Road Atlanta or VIR then that would be a different story.

The owner and driver of the FR-S was Jon Miller, one of the drivers of the #12 Alliance Autosport Porsche GT3 at the 2012 Rolex 24 at Daytona:

....needless to say, the guy has some major skills lol

Funny you should post that picture from Daytona, I took a picture almost exactly like that....of the same car, in the same corner. It was the only one pifting the wheels through there...

My buddy Ed, who drives a Genesis Coupe got a point by a driver of a Porsche 997 GT3 and a few GT-R's at this track lol it happens.

That just goes to show that going out and buying a car like the GT-R, 911, 458, etc. isn't going to make you a faster driver. IMO, that would only make you slower due to a less experienced driver not knowing how to fully control that kind of power. I know that sounds weird.

Chad - Take a look at the picture of the Viper. Is it me or does the hood seem to be lifting on the driver side?

well said mefryrice!!!

First and foremost with any car or person who wants to get out on the track, use a stock car! That way you get the feel of it and can only improve from there. I have seen many people buy "track" parts for their car and do need them nor nowhere near that level of experience.

When I go to a new track event I always put myself in the novice class, especially if I am at a new track I have never been to before. I can always move up or get faster when I learn and become more comfortable with the car and track! All of what I said is what I do personally and I have had many of the ITR guys who have tracked for many years lead me in the right direction for my safety and experience!!

Yep lol fast drivers can do a lot in slow cars. Hahha! Yeah the Viper has a fitment issue on the hood and at speed it lifts and makes it worse LOLOL that car belongs to my buddy Matt, he is one of two owners of Flat Out Motorsports, badass Viper. It is a stroked, heads, cam motor, JRZ's, gutted with seats, Stoptech BBK's and running 335 rear/305 front Hoosiers! It is a BEAST!

Yep! See sig! It hurts to have parts sitting here at my house and not install them lol but it is for the best.
