Hahah. To be honest, the things I would change would be the wheel size (smaller by about two to three inches), the wheel style and color. That's it. It's not bad to look at it, it's just too big for my personal taste. But it's your ride and it's all good!!!

yeah, these cars came stock with 17s, but after the A spec lip kit, 17s are too small, even 18 are small sometimes, 19s look right at home on these cars, sometimes when im walking up to the car, you cant tell theyre 19s cause the body of the car is so big, with 18s the car is able to almost sit on the ground, it had 18s before and the subframe has scrapes of that, with the 19s it can be slammed and not worry about speed bumps or anything like that,

this is how low it was, had to raise it for the winter time, fender literally sitting on tire, once grooved in it's good but when you hit a pothole......

My 'FAKE' wheels cost $800 without tires + the Steel American racing wheels with new tires that were on it around 1990 lol Just repolished them, and look close to new other then a little damage do to age. They were used and a few years old when they were bought. As old as they are, as many times as they've come off going down the road, had flats, etc. And have no bends or any real bad damage.... And has ACTUALLY been on something with a lot of power.... I don't see the big deal lol What confuses me is when people complain about 'fake wheels' on a baseline 200hp car.... I see it all the time.. If its on like a f1 car, or a real race car that goes through a lot then yes. I'd understand. But, not hard parkers... Its just bragging rights I guess

Simon... I think I want to get into Spec e30s once I get some money. Any opinions on this? You can reply here or PM me. I am going up to AMP in late Feb for some driving lessons with a friend and a guy he knows that has Spec e30s and a M6 that we will be driving. Alongside that I will be taking out the Corvette too. Just thoughts on the Spec e30 class? Thanks.

I like Spec E30. I don't run with NASA although I plan to do all their Road Atlanta enduros this year, but I frequently work NASA weekends. Spec E30 is big for sure, so you won't get bored out there. I'm not too sure on the cost to win, but if you're just looking to get on track and have fun it's very affordable and they're pretty bulletproof. I know in SM to buy a car is cheap and run it is decently cheap but to win, it suddenly sky rockets. Not sure if SE30 is similar or not.

I'd definitely buy a race ready car though with a decent spares package, it will save you tons of money and headache.

It's a good class to start with, that and Spec Miata. Both are momentum cars so teach good driving techniques, good sized fields, many races to choose from in the region, and low upkeep/running costs.

NASA has some good length enduros too, you can dramatically lower costs by selling seats for those. This year they have a 4, 6, and 8 hour race. The 6 hour starts at 4PM...can't wait for that!

That Z is so clean, white with gold is one of my favorite color combos, and volks are awesome. I want to get an exhaust as well but all the exhausts for our cars seem so loud, and I like having a quiet car.

Next weekend I plan to detail my wheels then my car the week after!

the HKS on my Z only gets loud when i step on it, otherwise the drone isn't there at 3k rpm cruising.

I appreciate it man. It's funny how my car used to get laughed at for being a piece of shit and now it's somewhat a head-turner.
I haven't been able to make it to any of the meets, but I really want to. I'm going to miatapalooza in Lakeland, FL on april 6th since I'm gonna be in the area in the first place for spring break.

I'll try to make it sometime to barrett or one of the miata meets soon!

Well, on second look, your side trim indicates you have an 85 or 86 so the later 87/88 tails don't fit. I found out the hard way. 87/88 tails look WAY better IMO. You'd think since both are classified as the x7 chassis they would all fit but that's one problem with the x7, it's divided between those two years as far as cosmetic parts. You could probably get them to fit with some hammering but meh.. There is bound to be another x7 in the yard to pop up soon as it's been a few months since the last one..

Your ride height is absolutely disgusting.

We both still need wheels.

Yea 86s are like that too. Zenki and Kouki tail lights aren't interchangeable. Also, I've had the car for 5 weeks but have only been driving it 48 hours. Just got my 7m swap finished. Ride height issue will be addressed. And yea....wheels needed.
