I need new brakes in my car. I have a 00 civic ex. I might need to change out some other stuff too. I going to bring it to a shop and find out what i ned to replace. Does anyone know how or where I can find help on doing the work myself? Like changing the brakes, rotors, etc.......

I did my brakes and rotors on my civic, and I'm a noob to it (still working on that timing belt, waiting for my friend to have time to help me). It's very easy. Just lift the car up on a jack (one wheel at a time) and all you need to do is take off the tire, unscrew the brake caliper (the thing that holds the pads), lift it and take out the old pads use a c-clamp to compress the caliper so you can fit the new pads, and put in the new ones. Once you take the caliper off the rotors just slide right out. It's a 30 minute job (maybe an hour the first time, just cause you have to get used to it). Buy the Haynes manual, or any other manual, and it tells you exactly how to do it. It's simple. No worries.
