As title states, parting out the motor/transmission out of my 97 civic ex. Motor is out of the car but is currently still in one piece, except for the bolt on accessories. Motor was always well maintained, adult driven and never beat on. No drag races, no burnouts, power shifts, etc.
Motor spun a bearing but still ran when it was removed. I suspect it fell victim to oil pump failure. I will continue to update the thread as I rmeove more parts from the motor and finally get it apart.
ALL PARTS ARE OBO... THAT MEANS REASONABLE OFFERS
D16Y8 Distributor. Worked perfectly in the car. Only damage was a crack to the cap during motor removal. Doesn't affect the performance of the part but I always recommend a new cap and rotor before install anyways

D16Y8 VTEC Solenoid. Worked fine, will also fit b series vtec heads. Oil pressure sender was damaged during motor removal but you can easily source another one.

D16Y8 starter (manual transmission but shouldn't matter) In perfect shape, solenoid is good, starter spins free with no play. Teeth are in good shape with no visible signs of excess wear. All connections are in perfect shape

D16Y8 Intake manifold w/ stock throttle body. Comes with working TPS, throttle cable bracket, fuel rail studs, Intake manifold lower brace. NO IACV, NO FUEL INJECTOR GASKETS, NO MAP SENSOR. but is complete and in perfect working order otherwise. All vacuum nipples are in perfect shape, no bends, kinks, cracks etc.

D series NGK 8mm spark plug wires, blue in color. Wires are in perfect shape, no frays, cuts, slices, etc. Both boot ends are in perfect shape, no rotting, etc. Distributor ends are numbered for easy installation and the distributor ends that plug into the distributor are in perfect shape, no corrosion or re-crimps
